Reminds me of Charles Charles, known to his friends as Chuck Chuck.

He was born in Walla Walla in 1919. He killed himself with a 30-30, using a dum-dum bullet, after contracting beriberi in Pago Pago. We will say bye bye to him with a procession of tom toms next week.

He was a More...

Did the 6 hour drive to Wagga Wagga last week for an army "march out" parade. It is a very big country town - pretty area. Especially after driving through the devastation of where our fires were earlier this year.

Great shot - how peaceful! The building is Radio Station 2WG. It opened on the 29th June 1932. Wagga is the local Wiradjuri aboriginal word for crow and to create the plural, the Wiradjuri repeat the word. Thus Wagga Wagga translates as 'the place of many crows'. Google is a wonderful thing!

Just a quick question...when kids skipped school we used to call it wagging off, where does that originate from?
Probably to late for anyone to answer now I guess.
