I love tree frogs, but I've never seen a yellow one in the wild. In real life, not photos.

I was turning our compost heap today, and nearly hit a "friendly" looking toad with my shovel. Luckily I don't think I hurt it. It quickly relocated itself a couple feet and after a moment's reflection started backing into the heap again. Told my missus not to plant any potatoes in that part of the heap :-)

Very cool. We only have the green and brown varieties of frogs around here.

Not too tough, but took me a while to figure out without using possibilities.

Cool frog! We have toads around our house and have captured, investigate & released a few for the boys to see... cool little animals.

Just last night my daughter and her youngest found 3 tiny toads (I think) in the basement of their home, an old farmhouse. Emma named all three and they let her keep them in a box until this morning, then she and her dad set them free. Good nature lesson for Emma and great good luck for the toads. Left in the basement, they probably would have become frog mummies!

I used to live in Costa Rica, and we had these gorgeous tree frogs everywhere. Bright green with red underparts and eyes.
