Looks like fun! What's that mountain on the background? Looking at it alone this could anywhere! Even at Antarctica :-). Except that there are so many ski trails that it has to be a relatively big resort. Somehow it doesn't look like the Alps though. Canada? I'm prepared to be very wrong about this - just a wild guess.

The volcano in the background suggests that it was probably taken somewhere in Washington State or Oregon - but I'm just a dumb Aussie and don't know nuffin' about foreign ski resorts.

It's also similar in shape to Mount Fujiama in Japan & Mt Egmont (aka as Mt Taranaki) in NZ. i think Kilaminjaro in Kenya also has that "classical" mountain shape! There we are we've just had a trip around the world just looking at one photo!

I must get a larger screen! I have been going cross-eyed trying to identify the trees for a clue to where our mystery skier is?

I'm with Greg. The problem is once you come down, you have to go back up! Unless, of course, it's a very, very short ski trip!

I'm not sure, but I think that is a shot of Rainier, taken from the East.

The dome is the wrong shape for any Oregon volcanoes, except Mt. Bachelor, and that peak isn't so isolated.

We can at least be certain that it isn't in the UK!

It doesn't look like Shasta or Lassen (Mt McLaughlin is steeper). Chilie also has volcanos - in fact one is erupting. I don't ski - but it looks like some resorts in the valley. Does that help anybody to identify the where? So whoever took this photo needs to answer the questions
