Yes, Ian, it's a new photo on here, which I submitted about September last year and they've just been showing now.
deltz - unfortunately, we have very bad seas here, mainly king waves and a young Canadian student was washed off rocks in Albany over Easter and lost his life. More...

I should have said in the above comment, the young student's body was never recovered and I think they have scaled the search down now. It's terrible that if the seas don't pound you against the rocks, the sharks will probably get you anyway. Sorry to be so macabre, but unfortunately it's the truth.

Lovely beach, but such a sad story Anne!

The king waves don't usually reach as far as Middleton Beach. They are just around from the main King George Sound where the beach is, where the coastline is exposed to the rough seas of the Southern Ocean.

You've just answered a question for me Anne - I submitted a swag of photos in May/June/July last year over all levels and none of them have appeared. If you submitted this one in September it looks like mine aren't going to make it onto the site. Time to try again!

is middleton beach near goode beach? i visited goode beach when i was about 15 (which i think was in albany) .....just a little while ago!

Iced tea sounds nice but nahh make mine iced, cold and white (wine), fresh prawns and bread rolls
