Great as a jigsaw, I loved it!
Not a clue what it is though!
I'll check back after the tough to see if anyone identifies it!

When it was on jigsaw I think the decision was that it is okra.

My guess is that they are pods full of seeds to be used as spices. It would be a definite clue to know WHERE the photo was taken.

I've never heard of anyone drying okra. But then, I don't understand anyone eating that either.

Okra is a plant, right? How is it usually eaten? Seems as through I've heard of "fried okra."

Thanks for the tip Grasshopper, but no idea what other than necklaces made of seed pods.

I googled okra and wickipedia gave this - Okra ( American English : [ˈoʊkɹə] , British English [ˈəʊkɹə], [ˈɒkɹə] ), also known as lady's finger [1] , bhindi ( Hindustani ) and gumbo , is a flowering More...

It's a matter of opinion as to whether okra os edible. It's VERY slimy, and I think, has a bitter taste. It's frequently added to gumbo, a cajun stew-like dish that contains everything but the kitchen sink. I won't touch it because of the okra.

11.25 As soon as I saw this, I wondered if it could possibly be Ian's...because imagine that as a jigsaw!
I thought it looked like okra.

Unusual...yes it is okra...looks much younger than the one I came across with...probably tasty..er younger than older.I would like to try this young okra. In montreal there is a season to eat a delicacy...very young fern leaves called fiddle heads...delicate taste indeed.

I know I'll get slimed with okra for this, but I don't believe it's okra. Okra is longer, the sides look more linear, and the stems don't usually come off close to the fruit, they are usually harvested by breaking the stem further away from the fruit. What would be the stems ends (if okra) More...

Looks like I got in the "last word" just after midnight (sudokuland-time), so it looks like I've pulled off a stealth attack... Nobody will be checking back to read my post here, so I think I've avoided the sliming. Whew!
