Great one Fi. Did you get to the original Tipperary in your travels? I don't know if its still there but was there was a sign on the road from Cork into Tipperary that read: 'Welcome to Tipperary. You've come a long way.' Yeah! from Sydney! Made us smile!
 |  |
I don't know what happened to the first comment I submitted but it doesn't appear to have shown up.

Is this one of your photos, fi. If so, I like it. If it's anyone else's, I don't like it!!!!!

Hell, who ran over the cat!!! That will give the crows and the goannas something to nibble on.

Good morning to all! So how do we really know if it's a long way to Tipperary if there's no mileage marked? Maybe it's only a short way!
 |  |
10:11 ... and I'll be driving past this sign tomorrow morning(as I did last week) in the same vehicle - so I'd better call it a day. Night all!- Hey and thanks for the fun on yesterday's puzzle.
 |  |
dont lose sleep over it greg!!
 |  |
Thank you for the fun too, fi and Greg, and Cami.
When are you getting it published, Greg?
 |  |
No Kate, I went to Cork - 23 years ago but I don't recall Tipperary. An ob la di long way from Sydney - to be sure, to be sure!!

Hey Greg- Only 35 kms of dirt from the sign but an ob la di long way from Ottawa.
 |  |
Sounds good fi, are you putting them on hard or tough. I too have been to Tipparary in Ireland five years ago.
 |  |
My pet wrecks will be on HARD in response to the hard life that they have suffered.
 |  |
Fi, Anne and Cami. You all did an excellent job, and Fi, you have a heck of an imagination!
 |  |
Fair enough. Can't wait to see them.
Have a safe trip!
 |  |
That's all right Fi. It might be a long way to Tipperay, but it's not to far to Perth (Ontario, that is!).
 |  |
Tease - and here was I thinking you were going to join us in Freo on Saturday.
 |  |
We were in Ireland in June. But we did not get to Tipperary, so it's still a long way.

Kudos to all who participated in yesterday's story telling. I feel honored that my mention of the beetle was used.

Greg: did you find the Chief's profile in yesterday's Tough?
 |  |
4:11 rainy day here. we need it. loved the story. isn't there a song with tipperary in it? anyone know?

I have been challanged. For those of you who didn't see the profile of the Ute chief Uthautha (u-thaut-ha), it is on the side of the cliff pictured in the 5 November Tough sudoku. If you can't see it, scroll down about two- thirds of the page for my explanation of how to find it. Now, on with the More...

Uthaut thaut (opps thought) long and hard about his father's words.

'The desert is cruel and wild, and I fear that going by myself will be boring, and I probabably won't have any profound thauts (oops thoughts) to say to to God of Wisdom. I thunk (oops think) I'll ask my friend Uthunk to More...

OMG wish I could think of something suitably sexy to say!!!

Anybody remember ''Naked Came the Stranger?''

Thanks for your input to the 'fun' Penelope.

Good one Fiona, fit right in.

maeN! 7:49 - a good time for me!

Miss my Molly O!

Not such a long way to Tipperary from where I am; however, you will still get folks in Galway singing that song! - but you will also get folks in Galway lamenting 'how far away [they are] today from [their] own dear Galway Bay'.
 |  |
IF you need me call me! Do you know how to call me? The woman asked. Oh yes, wise woman. We know how to reach you when we need you, said Uthant, Uthunk cringed as he said that. Let me know now what you would like, said the s8xyvoiced woman. Well you can provide us with beds, food and other comforts More...

Just in case you forget, 'just put your lips together and whistle, and I'll come around!!!

Uthunk turned to Uthaut and said, 'I tink (oops think) that was a temptress Uthaut! Who ever heard of a female God?'

Uthaut thaut (oops thought) long and hard ans replied, 'Uthunk, we need to talk to my father.'

So off they went, back through the wasteland, past Des and his friends, More...
 |  |
HalT: Where the heck are you?
 |  |
Mamacita2: Thanks for trying to help out, but I tink (oops think) this will be an unfinished story. Cheers to all!
 |  |
'What can I do for you, dear.'
Uthaut replied, ‘I am Uthaut, the bravest of all the braves, the strongest, the fastest, in short, the best of my tribe. But Dad says that I’m not very smart or wise. Can you help me, of god of Wisdom?’ Wisdom said, ‘Come, sit and talk with me for a while and I’ll More...
