Was this taken in Orlando? We have a small Statue of Liberty at the North end of the downtown area.

4:04 Statue of Liberty, somewhere other than NY... there's one like that in Seattle. Could this be that one?

7:54 An enjoyable puzzle (meaning no snags, no frustration, no yanking of hair)
 |  |
Not a good replica. Torch, crown, robe, neck, and book are not in proportion to the real S of L.

under 13mins. about average

Simple weekender sudoku today.

Where does this Lady Liberty stand?
 |  |
I believe this Statue of Liberty is in Paris, close to the Eiffel Tower. I saw one similar to it on the 'Treasure Hunters' television program over the summer. I have been to Paris but it was a long time ago. A whirlwind visit in four days - you don't get to see much of the city in that time. You would need to live there to get the real flavour of the city!

few days back , I had requested all to let me know the meaning of the word DES.the response was not good.someone helping this time?
 |  |
Someone wrote that DES was not a word, Arun. It is the name used by a person who has submitted many photos on this site. Hope this helps. If I'm wrong, will someone clear it up please.

I agree - didn't even 'touch the sides' last night. Felt rushed and we had so much to catch up on. Hoping your IM connection is something we can use. Hope your dinner party goes well. We're in a 3-day golf tourney this weekend...

From where in the world had DES been submitting his/her photo? Is this statu from the same place?
Some where in South America?

Des: Help us out here- where did you take this photo?
 |  |
I know there is a smaller version of the Statue of Liberty in Paris, and although I have been to Paris twice, didn't get a chance to check it out either time. This is not a picture of the one in Paris though.

After reading everyone's responses, didn't realize there were so many replicas out there. Where is this one located?
 |  |
8:11 Well I kow it's not Las Vegas
 |  |
Wherever it is the birds like sitting on it. Trees should be a clue--look like Southern evergreens but I'm guessing
 |  |
It doesn't appear to be the same as the one in Paris. The base looks different as does what she is holding in her left hand. The torch also appears to be a different size.

Good evening to all! I am assuming that since Des did the South America trip this statue may be in South America someplace. That's why he posted the ? after the comment. Might this be a correct guess Des?

This statue of liberty is found in the city of Potosi in Bolivia. Great to know there are more replicas out there. If anyone has photos of the other s of l, post them here!
