Very cool! I'm thinking P51 Mustang at 7 o'clock, Mitchell B25 9 o'clock... not sure about the one at 2 o'clock. WWII history is a deep interest of mine.

I vote for a Lancaster flanked by a Hurricane (left) and Spitfire (right),

You got it Tom - except for the possible confusion over who was on which left or right. The Spitfire is on the Lancaster's left in the photo.

Ian !
I am still confused !!
If the Spitfire is on the Lancaster's left, it must be to its right in the photo !!
I am left with not having it right.

Could be a B24 for the 4 engine bomber.

maen all! the tail is wrong for a B-25 so its probably a brit lancaster...the mustangs and spitfires are virtually the same plane...the brit model ran the V-12 rolls-royce and the U.S. version had the allison V-12...cool air show anyway you look at it!

I'm with Tom. The more square wing tips give the Hurricane away, some of the later Spitfires were very pointy, and the big Lancaster in the middle.

Mustangs and Spitfires almost the same!! I'll show you up deltz, said I. So I looked up the specs of a P51D and Spitfire Mk XIV thinking the Mustang was far superior. Hmm, not so after reading quite a few reviews. Seems I've shot myself down!! Still, the P51D is a pretty aircraft.
