hey jamie just look at this..sounds a bit like a groaner but see the fun..
Why is simplifying a fraction is like powdering your nose?
It improves the appearance without changing the value
nice!!

Upper right, medium, hard and tough, or Parent's page, or right above the puzzle Previous Day's Sudoku, or go to archives, up top.

Um...that was to Angie.
 |  |
ap - you are right! LOL
 |  |
Hey, KEITH! Are you back on your own computer or still sneaking on to your daughter's?? Are you/did you have a nice weekend away?

JAMIE: I thought the choice of candidate was unanimous. What happened? I hope things turn out the way they are intended ... not our choice, eh?

Reporter interviewing a 104-year-old woman:

'And what do you think is the best thing about being 104?' the reporter asked.

She simply replied, 'No peer pressure.'

Still in Oregon, Judy. I got my 7 year old grandson to do the Kid's Sudoku. He really enjoyed them. It was sooo hard to not help while he was solving, but fun to watch.

Hello everybody! Thank you SO much for all the wonderful birthday wishes. Needless to say, I am rolling in the car to my next party destination! Woo hoo!!!
 |  |
JUDY - it was unanimous by the Call Committee, but it now has to go through the Church Council O(Monday), and then to the congregation. And that still depends on the candidate deciding he truly wants to make the move. Ugh. I have done my part (hopefully).

Lots of North American activity so far today while the Aussies (& ap now, too) sleep. Rob & I spent the morning at the Hillsborough Literacy Council Student-Tutor Appreciation Assembly. It was a very nice affair held at the Museum of Science and Industry. Lots of inspiring stories & awards for More...

I suspect I would agree with your choice of governor, KATHY! You are still dealing with Jeb, right? That would sort of make us kindred spirits. What is very interesting is that Jeb's mother is a very strong proponent of reading programs here locally and in Texas.

bert...HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Love your Birthday routine.

Was awakened at 7:30 this morning by a woodpecker that thought our chimney flue would be a good place to peck. Thankfully, it only took him twice to figure out that it wasn't wood.

Great tattoo! Someone @ work was telling me about a cute one her husband has. It has bunny rabbit paw prints leading up his leg and across his butt. Elmer Fudd is there with his shotgun looking in the hole for the 'wabbit'. I guess we couldn't post a picture of that through!!

ap...Jack and Jill
Went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after!

LP FROM PIONEER - Are you around today? I'm still hoping to hear more about your safari. Not sure if you saw my comment a few days ago. In case we don't connect here, could you just post the name of your tour company & the dates you went to Africa? I read all your notes on Fodor's & looked at your pictures - so good!! Hope we can get together in the chatroom sometime or exchange e-mails.
 |  |
JAMIE - yes, we are still dealing with Jeb, sorry to say. I've never met him or heard him speak, but I disagree with a lot of his ideas, especially about education!
 |  |
Yes, I suspect he and his brother are cut from of the same cloth. There are not many educators in Texas that feel we are in serious trouble, much of it coming from W's tenure.
 |  |
You have your grandson doing Sudoku, KEITH? Cool! Must be smart like his grandpa ... :)
 |  |
It was funny
 |  |
ap - it's Jack and Jill - but sarah beat me to it! drat and double drat - ok, who said that then???
 |  |
why am I not a s.m. anymore????
 |  |
Gath, why do I have to sign in again each time???
 |  |
Gath, that should have read, why do I have to sign in again every time I refresh the page - a lot of very hard work!!
 |  |
Why, thank you for the endorsement, Jamie.

GEORGE W. - Do you enjoy Sudoku? Could you give us an approximation of your solving times??!!
 |  |
GEORGE W - you are very welcome.

Calling all bird watchers:
Please tell me what type of duck is this?

Hey, NAL! I studied my Sibley Guide to Birds and couldn't find anything exactly like your mystery bird. It seems to share characteristics with Eider and Goldeneye Ducks. Note the quote from Sibley: ''Common domestic forms are found on farm ponds and in city parks. Interbreeding produces a More...

Hey JUDY: Thanks.... I didn't see your comment before.
This little fellow is so cute!
For those of you that might visit Miami and need some peace and quiet (I do stress the peace and quiet is only on human noises) visit Crandon Park Gardens. This is a forgotten little piece of heaven. I More...
