Good morning. Visibility about 2 miles, but the horizon is obscured. Winds WSW becoming West, 10-20. Occasional thundershowers, isolated thunderstorms, scattered thunderstorms...what's the difference? Weekend beach temperatures are forecast for 70-80F (21-27C). Partly cloudy, mostly sunny. Tuesday is the Independence Day holiday in the US. Good luck finding anybody at work on Monday.

Still there Loza?
Found this
'Yesterday upon the stair / I met a man who wasn't there. / He wasn't there again today / I wish that man would go away.' Hugh Means (1875 – 1965)

Never heard about him, but he deserves credit for this marvellous verse.

Believe me, Loza, Gath would not be flattered...

altho now that I look more carefully I see 'thundershowers' - could be a dramatic one too. Just those temps sound looovely to me here where we're dropping to freezing overnight.
 |  |
ok Ian, but it's uncanny how you've been managing it.

You've got a point, Loza. I wonder what it is that makes Ian always be the first? (Not that I mind).
And Ian, do you really have that many thunderstorms? They semm to appear almost everyday.

Ingrid: Yes, we've been stuck in weather system for quite some time now. It should change in a couple of weeks, as the water warms up. We'll still have them, but not nearly so often.

Hi We are back, had a great time in St. Augustine. Not sure anyone got on the tractor while we were gone. My son left our front door unlocked with the key in it but no one came in here either. See you could have had a long ride on the tractor taken a shower and got something out of the frig, you More...

Yes, Anne.....I too would like to know who the good looking man is on 'hard' today. 58? You look great!!!
 |  |
Have a wonderful get together with Suzanne, LK. It's so good to see so many of us getting to meet up with fellow sudokuists. It just gets better and better. When will we have our first intercontinental meeting?

Ian - in answer to your question, perhaps occasional means they are occurring infrequently at irregular intervals (encarta def), isolated: when they're occuring far from each other and not so frequently, and scattered means they are occurring in a number of different places. Is there still a difference? I don't know! Too late in the night to ponder...
