This Ladybird is a bit different than ours. Ours are orange with a few small black spots.
Unless they are the 'imported' kind... they are a lighter yellow/orange with more spots - and they BITE!

We've had two nice surprises in the last 24 hours. Last night our 10 year old grandson called to tell us he hit his first home run! He was so happy & excited. Wish we could have been there to see it, but both his parents & his brothers were there. Big excitement for all of them. I'm so glad his mom didn't have to work last night.

The other exciting thing happened this morning. There were two turtle crawls not far from our house last night, & we got to see the huge paths of the tracks left behind. One was a false crawl (no nest was laid), but the other left behind Nest #2 of this season. I took a bunch of pics with my cell phone & will post them on FB for those of you who'd like to see.

Congratulations to the grand-slugger, Kathy!
How exciting it must be to see the nests, Kathy!

Several days ago as I left a meeting at a hotel; I desperately gave myself a personal TSA pat down. I was looking for my keys. They were not in my pockets. A quick search in the meeting room revealed nothing.

Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car. Frantically, I headed for More...

Is a ladybird different from a lady bug? I ask, because we have ladybugs here , but they are orange with black spots and are smaller than this. Also, they don't bite, and are considered to be good luck by some.

Congratsulations to your son, Aileen!
And to him on the job search!

I left my jacket at a resturant two days ago, the resturant is 40 miles each way. Debating if it is worth the drive & gas but don't want to loose an old friend.

That's so funny, Jim!

Sue, do you know that they still have the jacket? Not good to drive all that way for no reason.

HI all! Not many answers to yesterday's poozle but I was looking for the following which are all types of dives into the water.

Swan Dive, Cannon Ball, Can Opener, Pencil Dive,Belly Flop.
And yes, I know no-one has heard of a can opener dive, but it's true, it's a type of dive which is More...

Japanese Lady Bugs are the ones that bite - they are the orange ones and winter in homes also - they like to stay by the windows

Fiona must feel guilty about the abuse she heaped upon me yesterday.

Sending my answers, Bubbles!

My grandmother was terrified of all lady bugs, because she'd been bitten by some Japanese ones, and didn't know the difference between them and the indigenous American ones.
