You two sillies. Good job, Serena. 11/Jan/13 3:10 AM |  |
Know what you are going through, Serena. When I had my head worked on and told, move as little as possible, that is the time, I believe my darlings were the most demanding. I never knew how much my head actually moved, until I was told to keep it still for a few days. 11/Jan/13 3:12 AM |  |
Well, Hrumppp! I don't remember Kayo asking us if she could have the day off. Seriously, hope all is well for her. 11/Jan/13 3:16 AM |  |

I sent a PM to my Aunt's DIL. She told me the family prefers to be nonconfrontational because of the consequences (I can't say that I blame them!). I wonder if they could put a bug in one of her Dr's ears? I also try to remember that I have her genes, ane may be in her shoes someday! 11/Jan/13 4:08 AM |  |
Have fun on your cruise, Kathy. Have fun on your holiday, Kate! 11/Jan/13 4:11 AM |  |

 y'all. Here's a link and a video about a seeing-eye cat for a blind dog. I think Vici will really enjoy this one. Story link: http://www.mnn.com/family/pets/stories/blind-dog-gets-seeing-eye-cat Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=R-o539VKAcA 11/Jan/13 4:51 AM |  |

all.Too hot to stay in bed this morning. It is 5.30am & the thermometer is reading 24*C. We are scheduled for a top of 34*C today, so I guess it is our turn to swealter. God Bless whoever invented the AC! 11/Jan/13 6:30 AM |  |
Fortunately the old farmers in our part of Aus. still use the 'old' methods of farming, & burn of all the dead winter grass in the early weeks of Spring. The town people who were, only a couple of months ago, complaining about the unnecessary smoke pollution are keeping very quiet now. 11/Jan/13 6:39 AM |  |
Fingers crossed that enough of the farmers didn't listen. There was talk from council about fining the farmers who burnt their paddocks. 11/Jan/13 6:42 AM |  |
The west of the state has been warned to expect temps of up to 47*C, so I really have nothing to complain about. 11/Jan/13 6:47 AM |  |

My job here is done, so now I had better go do some of that 'other' work that has been waiting so patiently for me. 11/Jan/13 6:50 AM |  |
Good morning all. That photo was taken on a very hot day and the Grey Fantail and her 2 chicks were trying to keep cool. The nest is in an old hanging planter and is constructed with grass and pieces of bark held together with spider webs. 11/Jan/13 7:00 AM |  |
The wood shed is covered with Boston Ivy which has grown inside and keeps the temperature down a bit. It's a great spot away from the sight of predators. She is currently sitting on a new clutch of eggs in exactly the same spot. I remove the old nest each year so she can rebuild the next year. The nests aren't strong enough to survive more than 1 year. 11/Jan/13 7:05 AM |  |
