to all. Our weather forecast is for sunny and warm. Should have a high of 75. I plan on washing some of the windows. It will be great to be outside in the warm sunshine. I will have to leave some of them for gpa because they are too high. Way to high. Now shall do the puzzel.

Fast puzzle today.
Those tents look just like the tent my family had when I was a child!

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep.

Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, 'Kemo Sabe, look Towards sky, what you see? '

'The Lone Ranger replies, 'I see millions of stars.'

I still need a game for my bag. I'm going with UNO. It's the first game I remember playing with my family as a kid. Our deck growing up was in French. It's also the first game not aimed at kids I played with my kids.

I love that factoid, and the daffynition today, Kayo. I learned something. I know very few Native American words. In the Souix/Arapaho/Cheyenne group, friend is ''Kola''. I was trying to figure out which tribe used Kemo Sabe, if any.

I'm off to spend the day at the North American International Livestock Exposition, and the evening at the North American Championship Rodeo. It's finals night and a couple of friends and I have seats in the second row near the bull chutes.

I'll be working a good portion of tomorrow at my Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, assisting those disabled or elderly folks that need help, tending the bar during the after ceremony luncheon and helping with the clean-up. The services themselves will be outside at a cenotaph we have but it More...

Well, I guess with New Mexico being neighbors with Texas it is plausible that Tonto could be of the Navajo tribe. So okay he calls his friend something in his native language but why 'soggy shrub'?

Hey, CG, I'm of the age where in junior high school, everyone took typing! I still can type fairly fast. Back in the days where it was stereotypic of girls taking typing to be secretaries, when I and another young man applied for jobs at UCLA, I wanted an accounting job and he wanted a secretarial job.
11/Nov/12 6:08 AM
 |  |

But the job center insisted I take the typing test and he took the 10 key one. We both didn't do too well. So the center relented and we took our respective tests. He typed over 100 hundred words a minute! And I did an accurate job adding a long column of figures. I ended up in the campus accounting center.
11/Nov/12 6:11 AM
 |  |

But in college you learned to type very well because of all the confounded papers that were due!

And another CP!!! Woohoo!

shosho, I was forced to do a search to figure out what you were talking about. There were a lot of possible meanings for 'Kemo Sabe' on different pages but the first few I found didn't mention any wet vegetation.

Hello everyone!!

Usually do the sudokus & jigsaws before I start 'talking', today I thought I 'say' hello first!! Mainly because I saw we were still on page one! Off to do the puzzles, catch you later!

After the comments about tents I had a sneak peak at the jigsaw!
Thanks for the comments! Camping is never much fun in the rain! But in good weather, apparently the sunrise is spectacular from those tents! The face East & Cockatoo Island is in the middle of the harbour, so power lines, houses, hills.... aren't in the way! I'd love to stay overnight sometime, but husband isn't so keen.........

Morning all, Kate, I'm not a camping person either but would suffer one night to see the sunrise.

Slow day here. I did the puzzle at 2am. I woke up then and remembered I had left some shopping in the car that should have been in the fridge. I expected a lot more comments since then and I was surprised to find we are still on the first page.
