2:43 Hi to all. Haven't been ice-skating in years.

Thought for the Day:

I have a "carpe diem" mug and, truthfully, at six in the morning the words do not make me want to seize the day. They make me want to slap a dead poet.

Happy birthday to babyface2129 and m0md0d, hope you have a wonderful day.

Jamie, you only have a few more months of until summer vacation. There's light at the end of the tunnel. Can you see it?

André: I am sorry. We simply can't have people going around slapping dead poets even early in the morning. Makes a mess of the graveyards and the skull-bones tend to fragment.

A fine Tuesday over here.
My sis in Ohio sent a snow pic to the relatives in Hawaii, and I sent spring flowers (freesias and azaleas) and a shot of my lemon tree!

A husband and wife had four boys. The odd part of it was that the older three had red hair, light skin and were tall, while the youngest son had black hair, dark eyes and was short.
The father eventually took ill and was lying on his deathbed when he turned to his wife and said, "Honey, More...

I'll add my good wishes to the Melbourne group too. ENJOY! (and take your cameras along)!

Vera, it should say "I can't believe it's PLASTIC"!!
12/Mar/08 5:52 AM

May be it would make more sense to slap the designer of that mug?
12/Mar/08 5:54 AM

Did you mean, "I can't believe it's NOT a PLASTIC"!

Speaking 0f Margarine. Is anyone here old enough to remember that it was white when you bought it and you had to break a small capsule containing the dye and mix it in to make it yellow?

Although the 'one molecule' story is funny, it is a myth. A funny one though!!!!

Old HIckory - while reading about margarine and plastic I saw something on that... It said that in 1950 Truman repealed the requirement that margarine be sold in its 'uncoloured' state and yellow margarine was then made and sold. Up until then people used to add food colouring.

Greg, loved the joke because I used to say it was a good thing I hadn't seen my bro-in-law for a year before my second was born. He appeared to have been cloned from his older cuz. Those genes can getcha in trouble!

Hello Everyone. Old Hickory...I remember when I was a little girl, my mother would let me help prepare breakfast, and my job was to get the 'butter' ready for the table, by mixing in the color capsule....I thought this was great fun. I think this was when some items were still rationed because of the war...or shortly after.

Any news from the Michigan meet up between Sheila and Debby? Hope they were able to get together with all of the snow there. The Melbourne meet shouldn't have any real weather problems....hope they will have a blast.
Eve, glad the page update is now working...possibly some gremlins around.

Hickory & Mama - I do remember the white margarine. I guess that makes me old as dirt, or that I have a strong memory of my very early childhood (which most people do not - before age 3).

Don't pick on my Dead Poet U-tube selection for today. It is for those who love Celtic Music.

Eve...its good to join in with all of us 'old as dirt.....but still 'involved', se6y folks! Its a good place to be...considering the alternative.

bertie - i don't think willy wobblestick (def. by em)is averse to a bit of slap and tickle...the mug I'm sipping out of says 'If you drink, then drive, you're a bloody idiot.' which is a bit harsh when it's only chai...but anyhoo, seeing as the day is now night for you, pummel your pillow instead...unless it's made of feathers...then don't. x

I remember the white margarine with the capsule...I know, I know that I am that age...but I like it...not the margarine!
For 25c I could spend the whole evening at the restaurant with a coke and a bag of chip...remember that?

I too, had the job of coloring the "butter", Mamacita. I was about 4 years old. It was in a plastic bag and you kept squeezing until the color was uniform throughout. Ah, the olden days!

....and hamburgers were 15¢ at McDonalds. You could get a whole meal for less than $1.00!
Spending $5.00 on a date was a BIG deal! Wanna race, gals?
