(Still not feeling better and I'm supposed to take care of grandtwins on Monday & Tuesday.) 16/Mar/12 12:25 AM |  |
If only I could take credit for calming the storm. 16/Mar/12 12:25 AM |  |
Shiela - Do you think you've got some sort of secondary infection that will need an antibiotic? Yes, sometimes it takes a while to recover, but by the end of 3 weeks you should be completely better. 16/Mar/12 12:27 AM |  |
Reading yesterday's posts ... The picture of Heidi dealing with quicksand is a nightmare. I'm glad she's okay. 16/Mar/12 12:30 AM |  |
Good Maen, all! Sorry you're still not well, Shiela. Hope you're ok by the time you're scheduled to take care of the grandkids. 16/Mar/12 12:43 AM |  |
And I hope Heidi has a better day today than yesterday. What a nightmare that must have been! 16/Mar/12 12:43 AM |  |
Bugs, Plum! It's only been 1 week! And I'm wondering about the secondary infection, too. Let's just say my tissues remind me of Christmas when I cough. Hate to take antibiotics... am allergic to most. (I know, I know, TMI!) 16/Mar/12 12:46 AM |  |
Thanks, Jane! Means a lot to see little bits of well-wishes when you are feeling rotten. 16/Mar/12 12:48 AM |  |

Shiela, the good thing is that you're not contagious after 5-7 days. So, you just need to get your energy up and that cough taken care of. I really like the Mucinex brand that has an expectorant during the day and an expectorant/suppressant for night or for when the coughing is uncontrollable. More... 16/Mar/12 1:03 AM |  |
I read somewhere that the USA winter 'flu season' is finally kicking in - the latest ever because of the mild winter. 16/Mar/12 1:04 AM |  |
I am pretty sure this was the flu rather than a cold - chills, skin sensitivity, aches, lights looked yellow/dim, lethargic, etc. So much for the flu shot! 16/Mar/12 1:11 AM |  |
Gotta go nudge the lump a/k/a Little Plum. She is not adjusting at all to Daylight Savings Time. I don't think she's noticed except she gets cranky when school runs into supper time and she doesn't have "after school time." Getting cranky is one of those growth spurt things. More... 16/Mar/12 1:12 AM |  |
 I have an appointment at noon. 16/Mar/12 1:12 AM |  |
The 'flu does seem to be going around here something fierce, Plum. 16/Mar/12 1:13 AM |  |
I have never seen flowers like these. They're really beautiful. 16/Mar/12 1:18 AM |  |
 Gorgeous flowers!!! I haven't seen these, either, Heidi. 16/Mar/12 1:36 AM |  |
Getting ready for round 2 of the fertilizer wars. The rain is holding off, so they're delivering the second fertilizer buggy soon. Each weighs about 7 tons. 16/Mar/12 1:39 AM |  |
Good morning people of the world. 16/Mar/12 1:42 AM |  |
 Absolutely Incredible Kid Day 16/Mar/12 1:43 AM |  |
Seems Plum is celebrating today. I am so glad to hear you still watch your baby sleeping and that awww feeling does not go away. 16/Mar/12 1:45 AM |  |
Part of our family togetherness had to return to work today. It is a good thing, because he sounded awlful this morning when he left, all that coughing, wheezing, and moaning. If I was a good person, I would have felt bad that he had to leave. 16/Mar/12 1:48 AM |  |
Back home after a couple of days "down the road," in Monterey, visiting friends. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, http://www.montereybayaquarium.org/ an absolutely wonderful place. If ever you're in the area, don't miss it. 16/Mar/12 1:49 AM |  |
Downside of his leaving, I have to return to potty training and pull-up duty. Went a whole 5 days without having to deal with the toxic waste child's tush. That might be TMI. 16/Mar/12 1:51 AM |  |
After cleaning out the car yesterday, I put the floor mats in the washer and ran them through twice. Opened the machine this morning and I have clean mats, but my washer is in need of a major cleaning. 16/Mar/12 1:54 AM |  |
The girls like the Musinox(?)stuff, too, and it seems to give them relief fast. Whenever I need something like that, and since I am not allowed to get sick, I pick up this stuff for the dollar store. The stuff taste horrible and I believe I could strip paint with it, but it knocks whatever out instantly. Or the thought of having to take a second dose scares the illness out of you. 16/Mar/12 1:57 AM |  |
 Yes, I am rambling. 16/Mar/12 1:57 AM |  |
