Good morning John, Dorthea, and all yet to come...

I can't grow that stuff, and it makes the very best tea when it fresh.

It was a surprisingly easy jigsaw for such a complicated picture.

Morning all. I'm up past pumpkin time - so I'm off to bed. Catch you later in the day!

It's heeere!
We're actually getting money back, so ours were sent in long ago.
Oh, pardon me. How rude. all!

Time to put the washing in the dryer. I put it on before I went to bed last night.

I wonder if I'm the only one who had a problem with #4 on Fiona's puzzle from yesterday? Couldn't get it last night, but looked at it this morning and (drum roll, please) it seemed obvious! Happened that way the day before, too. Maybe I'll just start doing the puzzles in the morning.

2:11 Hi to all.

Thought for the Day:

Pleasure is very seldom found where it is sought. Our brightest blazes are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks.

You can't grow it, Dorthea??? Around here, Chamomile is a common weed, growing in my driveway where it's not wanted. The aroma from it, however, is intoxicating, and the tea works miracles on an upset tummy.

I haven't gotten around to looking at the puzzles yet, Kathy. Sometimes it's easier on the head that way.

Jerry...has the beard come off too?

Good Maen friends!
That picture of the Chamomile looks like a painting.
Andre - beautiful TFTD - and so true!

In reply to "Inquiring Minds", No! I can't remember the last time I saw my face naked. At least 35 years ago.

Good afternoon to all! Now that's a busy picture. Okay, let's play "She/he loves, she/he loves me not" and you have to pull all the petals off. Let me know who finishes first!

I have to switch to my Ottawa Senators avatar for the Stanley Cup playoffs. We're underdogs, but we won the first game against Pittsburgh last night!

HI all! Here are yesterday's answers:

done, doze, dose
clad, clam, clap
sly, spy, sty
guide, guise, guile

which were received from CG, Kathy, Judy, Plum, CynB and Linda. And yes, Kathy, most people complained about #4! Then again, what would a riddle be without a complaint of some sort?!

Here's today's one - and no moaning please! Answers to the 'Jerry, we are still waiting' inbox please!
Below are incomplete words. Place three letters in each bracket so that you can complete the word on the left and begin the word on the right. Good luck.

i (_ _ _) lar
lat (_ _ _) ror
phan (_ _ _) atoe
indica (_ _ _) toise
sc (_ _ _) na
thr (_ _ _) egal

I've just seen a spelling mistake in the riddle - you get a bonus point if you find it!

Pretty easy to spot, Bubble Girl!

I hope I didn't fill up the "Awaiting Jerry" inbox, Fiona. It took me several tries to get a full answer to you. Weird.

Kathy - here's an idea for what you may want to do with that tax refund...

Dear Son,

Your Pa has a new job. The first in 48 years. We are a little better off now, getting $17.96 every Thursday. So we up and thought we'd do a little fixin’ up. We sent to Rosemont and Seasbuck for More...

I hope no-one from anywhere is travelling to Europe today or tomorrow, because if so, you're not going to get far. That enormous pall of volcanic ash from the Icelandic eruption has seen every airport in northern Europe close it's doors, runways, the lot. No flights in and no flights out - not a single one.
16/Apr/10 5:22 AM
 |  |

And given that the trains just happen to be on strike here too...means the country is at a bit of a standstill! For once I'm glad we're not travelling anywhere even though our spring hols start tomorrow.

Priceless, Daplap! A breadboard and a picture frame??
I have a roll of paper, too. Must write and thank the IRS.

...and then tell them what they can do with it.

Fiona... did you take spelling lessons from Dan Quayle?

Good morning all. Nice photo. Hi Ian, nice to see another Aussie up and about.

No, Heidi, but maybe it was the man himself who 'created' the riddle?!

Considering the volcanic ash situation....

A large two engined train was crossing Northern Europe. After they had gone some distance one of the engines broke down. "No problem," the engineer thought, and carried on at half power. Farther on down the line, the second engine broke More...

At Saint Mary's Catholic Church in South Philly they have a weekly husband's-only marriage seminar. At the session last week, the Priest asked Luigi, who was approaching his 50th wedding anniversary, to take a few minutes and share some insight into how he had managed to stay married to the same More...
