Poor Judy. She may not speak Italian, but I do. Wish the Olympics had your weather Plum, but I'm sure you also wish they had it.

Angie.... I think I've fallen in love with your grandmother. She sounds wonderful, with a brilliant sense of humor. I'm so glad that they've found a probable solution.

As you hang from the bitter cold rafters, Batty, be sure that you wrap your wings tightly around your furry little body! Br-r-r!

I didn't play today. Hello to all.

Thought for the Day:

Angie your gramma sounds like my nan used to be. When she was 95 she went to the doctors and said do you think I should give up smoking now? He said he thought she would be okay to carry on...she was a tiny little thing with a big heart and skinny legs xx

At 95, my grandmother would say when she saw a handsome man, "Now, he's a big hunking man!" and her eyes would brighten! She outlived 3 husbands.

HI all! The old stalwarts managed yesterday's puzzle which consisted of freezing the bits of wood and floating away on them with the mummy as a paddle. Here's today's one:answers to the 'couple of days left to NY' inbox!

Seems there is something amiss with today's riddle, sigh, thank you world for pointing that out. Here's another one for you as this one is really too easy!

My father gave me a brain teaser with two groups of words missing. The four words in each group are anagrams of each other. I've solved More...

Good morning all.
to jano, elenahbf and numbat. Enjoy your special day!
Why don't I read ahead? Fiona's first puzzle, I worked out all the countries, then looked at the facts which were in order (that's odd, I thought) - THEN read the post underneath. I could have saved myself time.

Plum - My heart goes out to you! We have been there with plumbing problems. (Last year as a matter of fact!) It all started with a new faucet in our bathroom, only to find the sink was rusted out! New one had to be ordered to match the tub and toilet. They found one in Detroit, so it needed to More...

What is the difference between a yam and a sweet potato?
17/Feb/10 12:23 PM
 |  |

I have to say that as I've done dishes today it's been a pleasant surprise to see how easily the faucet handle moves to adjust temperature and water pressure. It's much easier than my last faucet and seems to float from position to position. I may be falling in love with my Moen. Maybe I'll have to start saying "Good Moen" in addition to Good Maen?

Easy, Glinda...

Popeye always said, "I yam what I yam," but he never said "I sweet potato what I sweet potato."

Now, Sweet Pea is a different story.

UPDATE: Gramma was moved out of ICU into her own room. They are thinking this may all be a medication complication. She is scheduled to have a pacemaker put in Thurs morning, but will cancel it if she continues to improve at the same pace. So good news!! Positive thoughts and prayers are powerful!

The Blonde & The Heart Attack
