My only "excuse" for being up this early -- The "hounds" wanted to go out. Otherwise I'd have missed the change.

Debby - corned beef is no longer on my menu because of the excessive salt, so I'm going to do what many of the Aussies do - make lamb stew. Actually, we are thinking of going to a local Irish pub for dinner tomorrow so Jaime can have his corned beef, and I'll order the stew!!!

You ARE up early, Jerry! I was wondering.
Are you going back to bed or do we get a cup of Jerry's famous coffee?

THE IRISH...

Irish are huggable. Irish dream in green.
Irish know the importance of cuddling to keep warm.

Irish believe in impossible things, just long enough to make them come true. Irish invented rosy cheeks, giggles, and being stubborn.

Irish see fairies and More...

Things like corned beef and ham are no longer an option for me. My blood pressure had gotten way out of control. Last November it was 158/86, and by giving up salt and beefing up my exercise regimen, it's now 133/78. I still have a ways to go, but I'm getting there. I do not want to take meds.

The Brothel

Two Irishmen were sitting in a pub having beer and watching the brothel
across the street. They saw a Baptist minister walk into the brothel,
and one of them said, "Aye, 'tis a shame to see a man of the cloth goin' bad."
Then they saw a Rabbi enter the More...

Soooooo... I'm "Bad Tipper O'Donaghue" ...if I use the old world spelling of my last name. If I use the new spelling, it's "Bad Tipper O'Neil"! Hmmmm... QUESTION: Do I try to live up to that, I wonder????

Murphy walked with his dog every day all through the village, so everyone knew both Murphy and his dog. One day Murphy is on his walk without the dog. Cronin sees Murphy and asks, "Where is your dog?". Murphy answers, " I had to have him put down." "Was he mad", asks More...

Casey married a rich widow, but they didn't get along. One day she said to him,
"If it wasn't for my money, that new television wouldn't be here. If it wasn't for my money, that grand piano wouldn't be here.
If it wasn't for my money, this house wouldn't be here."
Casey mumbled, More...
