Good afternoon to all! Okay young ladies... are you celebrating a bargain sale or did you just hit the jackpot in Dungeons and Dragons? Of course, it could be something else entirely. Only you know!

Eve and Shosho, my understanding of WOOT is that it is game player term in Dungeons and Dragons for "Wow! Loot!" However, it was expropriated by an online Internet sales web-site that offers one day sales of various productsm services, etc.

Glinda, you never answered about Mel Gibson. I still don't know what the issue is, but I hope it doesn't impact the re-sale value of my vintage collection of VHS Mad Max movies.

Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend evidently taped a (or some) phone conversations they had. He was ranting about not having any money to give her. According to one report, she was holding back the tapes for money. Guess he didn't give her any.....the tapes are everywhere. WHO CARES? (Well, I guess Mel does. lol)

CG - actually the resale value may go up. People will be snapping up all the old Gibson videos they can find so they can see if they can figure out just when he started to "go wrong". To tell you the truth, I suspect the crack-up occurred when he was forced to wear a skirt in "Braveheart".

CG: It's not cool to use racial epitaphs. He has a major problem in that area, thus he is a Racist.

However, Senator Byrd, who recently died at 92, was NOT considered "Racist". In his "youth" he was the "Grand Cyclops" (a high position in the KKK) and as More...

Eve, I'm not sure what your comment has reference to or why it was directed to me. What do you mean by "racial epitaphs" and who is "he"?

1:51 to you all from sunny Portland, Oregon.

I spent the morning working on a cleanup crew in a local cemetery, where our dog can run free. He had 90 minutes of doggie freedom and has now collapsed in a heap on the cool floor of the kitchen.

Thank heavens, elephants can't jump! Can you imagine the loud nerve wracking thumps that would make in a multi-storied building??? Or the holes on the playground asphalt?
Also, Daplap, the homicidal maniac with a champagne bottle? The world is getting scarier!

You know, Eve, CG there are books on political correctness of speech. As a mentor teacher I was given a book on stereotyping. Reading it was an education! There are a lot of little acts that can hurt. Something that we teachers must be sensitive to for our children's sake. I can't afford to turn a child off on learning. Especially at the age I get them.
