You are most welcome! I seem to have a reputation for knowing a lot of really useless trivia. One of my favorite things to do (when I have the time and my wife permits) is to go to a bar and play the online trivia games from www.buzztime.com. I rarely am beaten for high score in the bar and I More...

everyone!
Could it be teeny, tiny horseback riders, Keith?

Glenn, not so much trivia, but I am enthralled with word and phrase origins. Charles E. Funk has written several books, "Horsefeathers" and "Heaven's to Betsy" come to mind. There are many more out there, but I like the style of his writing.

Kathy,

I used to know Richard Lederer when I lived up in New Hampshire. He belonged to Mensa with me and we used to bump into one another at meetings. Funny guy and a marvel with words! Have you ever heard of him?

Good story for the day...

Good morning said a woman as she walked up to the man sitting on ground.

The man slowly looked up.

This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life.

I had not heard of him, Glenn. Just looked through all his books on Amazon. I want them all! Think I'll start with "The Play of Words" and go from there. The man is certainly a prolific writer.
Thanks for the info!
