Good Maen Shiela and all who come after us. 02/Mar/10 12:10 AM |  |
Hi to ya, Debby. Yes, thre is just something about kids and dogs that seems wonderful. Every child needs a good dog. 02/Mar/10 12:12 AM |  |
Hello Debby & GmaJackie! We have bright sunshine here! How about you? 02/Mar/10 12:13 AM |  |
Or a good cat...my son used to suck his thumb while running his other thumb over the end of the cat's tail before falling asleep! In other words, the cat was his security blanket! 02/Mar/10 12:15 AM |  |
Good morning. No excuse tonight I should have been in bed ages ago! 02/Mar/10 12:15 AM |  |
Yes, the Olympics were over early last night, June! 02/Mar/10 12:19 AM |  |
Saw my grandson Emmett take his first steps yesterday! Those first steps just melt your heart! 02/Mar/10 12:20 AM |  |
Brrrrr morning. I am so sick and stinking tired of snow and cold. We're in a daytime melt cycle here, it's true. For a few days the daytime highs are lifting enough that it's evaporating, but with no sunshine and no warm breeze it's turning into that clinging chill that turns into clammy drafts. I can't get warm. 02/Mar/10 12:23 AM |  |
I am back again after doing the medium. I agree, or a cat. How wonderful to see a grandchild begin to walk. And, the first step! Here in TN. it is cold.. 33 degrees. It should warm up into the 40's. Mid 50's would be our normal. The forecast is for warmer weather. We have lived here 10 yrs. More... 02/Mar/10 12:25 AM |  |
Good Maen to all.Anyone want two cats? Someone dropped them off at my house and I am feeding them and trying to find them a home. One is solid black and the other is yellow. The same color and markings of a cat I had for 17 years. 02/Mar/10 12:31 AM |  |
The sun is shining bright here, too, Shiela!!!! We had a lot of snow to melt yesterday. It is breezy here, also. It looks like it will be another nice day! 02/Mar/10 12:40 AM |  |
Old Hickory, sounds like you have been "blessed" with two cats. No takers here in TN. We have our own problems with stray cats and dogs. We have problems with those that belong to neighbors! No leash laws here and the dogs they run lose. 02/Mar/10 12:52 AM |  |
Jane - Glad to hear Jaime's family and friends are okay. I am "keeping my fingers crossed" for Alvaro. We have been watching a program on "Public TV" about Chili. It looks like a beautiful country! The program has been very interesting. 02/Mar/10 12:57 AM |  |
Hi all.I have discovered (from USGS) that the recent Chile event (m8.8) was the fifth(tied)largest terrestrial earthquake to occur during the past 100 years. The largest earthquake (m9.5 - 1960) was also in Chile even though the Great Sumatran earthquake magnitude has been recently upgraded - to m9.3 02/Mar/10 1:07 AM |  |
The number of high magnitude earthquakes has steadily increased since about 1950 02/Mar/10 1:09 AM |  |
Looks like March is coming in like a Lamb - so far today -- just a touch of Spring in the air -- 02/Mar/10 1:16 AM |  |
You can never have too many "doggy hugs". 02/Mar/10 1:17 AM |  |
We have a cat who visits us each morning - grey little female -- very friendly -- comes in the house, checks us out - gives me a kiss and then leaves --- of course, there are treats involved. 02/Mar/10 1:18 AM |  |
My fingers are crossed that everything is OK with Alvaro, Jane. 02/Mar/10 1:18 AM |  |
 22????? 02/Mar/10 1:18 AM |  |
Good day all. You sure can't go wrong getting a hug from the dog to start the day. 02/Mar/10 1:25 AM |  |
2:05 Hello to all. Thinking of you Jane x Thought for the Day: I really didn't have a thought, I had a sandwich instead. Corned beef to be precise. I know you all want to know that. So now you know. 02/Mar/10 1:57 AM |  |
 Just missed it again. 02/Mar/10 2:01 AM |  |
You need to get out of bed, Sleepyhead! 02/Mar/10 2:03 AM |  |
There are days ... and then there are days. 02/Mar/10 2:11 AM |  |
 Yep ... they keep on coming ... relentlessly and inexorably ... 02/Mar/10 2:16 AM |  |
Was the corned beef on rye, André? 02/Mar/10 2:20 AM |  |
I was going to have cheese and pickle...but I don't like pickle... No rye Heidi, we're not really a rye nation although we can be wry. I had pumpkin seeded, home made. I may have some whiskey and marmalade bread and butter pudding later...I know it is very, very exciting and some of you can only just contain yourselves. 02/Mar/10 2:36 AM |  |
Good Maen friends!Sunshine here today - time to get out and do more winter clean-up in the yard. Daffodils are starting to bloom - crocus, too! 02/Mar/10 2:54 AM |  |

I can't get cornbeef with sauerkraut here in Hayward, I either make it myself or go to San Francisco. 02/Mar/10 3:14 AM |  |
