2:18 Hi to all. Lonewolf and Suzy I will get back to you with my workings so far...

Thought for the Day:

"Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is."

In exchange I will send you my seeded batch loaf, just this minute baked, to toast. Do try to toast both sides as the crunch of seed and butter is quite devine on a slightly harder surface. Please remove dentures if they are loose and suck the seed and butter instead. It is not quite the same but...

Happy Tuesday!
Chris: Thanks for the explanation of MCG.

André: Please send over a couple of slices--it sounds yummy (and I do not have dentures [yet]) , see?!

Wandering in the archives last night trying to figure out when I first posted on the site, one of the pleasant things I discovered (which I hadn't remembered) was that way back when I first started coming here (early March, 2006), andré was posting her TFTDs. I wanted to know so I could put it in my comment in Wagdy's forum.

Quiz - Answers:
First, some observations. Some people had difficulty with the 'Americanized' questions, including some Americans (i.e; 13 and 17). Some people in countries that have the metric system had difficulty with imperial measurements (i.e.; 9 and 14). Several people believed that number More...

Hello - I'm back! Got in Saturday after a 5 day drive on long winding roads - through some of the most beautiful scenery between LA & OR. Too bad, I couldn't find my camera before I left. Spent the last 2 hours after the car was packed looking for it. Then about a 100 miles down the road, More...

In a restroom at IBM's Watson Center, a supervisor had placed a sign directly above the sink. It had a single word on it -- "THINK!"

The next day, when he went to the restroom, he looked at the sign and right below, immediately above the soap dispenser, someone had carefully lettered another sign which read -- "THOAP!"

Another very wet day in Brisbane today. In my area we have had nearly 150 mls (6 inches)of rain since Monday evening. It's not cold, just doesn't warm up during the day. Outside, if it isn't raining it's pouring.
I think we can fairly safely say that the Brisbane dams will get some more More...

Good morning all.
Dorthea - great video. Nothing like a piano played that well.
Karen - thanks for the Jill update. Give her my best wishes.
Greg - thanks for the answers. I didn't participate because I had done it before and had the answers except for the few 'americanized' questions.

Vicki - much as I am happy for the drought to be over, I wish it would just rain over the dam catchment areas not my place. We've had about 180mls - that's enough. But apparently it's going to get worse today. Ho hum!

to everyone.

CynB - we had our first "shower" yesterday for months. It's been so dry and we still have water in our lakes, but levels have dropped. Now they are forecasting storm conditions this week! Batten down the hatches.

CynB, just to let you know it definitely is raining in the catchment area. We are once again isolated by flood water. This is not a complaint, it is a celebration! It is so good to see my veggie garden being watered by mother nature instead of my watering can. The cats don't seem to enjoy the experience though. Go figure! There is always someone who see the glass half empty!

In view of the weather theme here is thought on American weather.
There are got four boring seasons on the east coast: winter, spring, summer, and fall. You ever been to California? Wind, fire, mud, earthquakes.

All the rain is lovely but I can't play golf today, I'll have to go see "Angels and Demons" at the movies instead.

What - no golf Sabina, how will you cope? Enjoy the movie - I'm going to see it next week.

Quick question; My daughter is doing some research about satire, mainly TV programmes. i know most of you are not British but it has to be one that has been aired on UK TV. Name a programme and say how it affected you and also name one that was not successful and the reasons why it wasn't. Would love any replies on my page or on here if you would prefer. Thanks in advance.

A man and his wife, moved back home to Missouri, from Texas. The husband had a wooden leg, and to insure it back in Texas, it cost them $2000 per year!

When they arrived in Missouri, they went to an insurance agency to see how much it would cost to insure his wooden leg.
