 OK, I'll take that. 21/Jan/17 11:33 AM |  |
 G'day Anne. 21/Jan/17 11:34 AM |  |
Good maeN, good people. I'll bet the people I've been watching all day at the inauguration never had to repair a toilet and caulk a leak. Just explaining why I'm not in a shimmery gown with heels drinking champagne right now. As if. 21/Jan/17 12:01 PM |  |
Wombat- the problem is on the U..P, not P..P line. 21/Jan/17 12:33 PM |  |
Hal, I think you mean the U.P. line. The two dots (or in Peters terms) periods are meant to represent spaces between two letters, so we just have two letters, which are an abbreviation. Sorry about that, it's just me trying to get as close to 26 words as possible. 21/Jan/17 1:45 PM |  |
You beat me to it Hal. I hope the explanation works. Look for a similar one next week. 21/Jan/17 1:48 PM |  |
I had typed out a query about that,Wombat, and was just about to post it when the penny dropped so I was able to send you my answers. 21/Jan/17 2:01 PM |  |
 Perhaps '_ _' in lieu of '. .' No... Looks like we're back talking in Morse code. 21/Jan/17 2:04 PM |  |
You sound like the Road Runner, Hal. 21/Jan/17 2:07 PM |  |
The last few posts have worn my brain out. (There's an opening for you, Peter.) Think I'll go to bed. 21/Jan/17 2:09 PM |  |
 Beep, beep? 21/Jan/17 2:14 PM |  |
Sorry to damage your brain Hal, even if only temporarily. Actually I agonised for ages over that clue, what to put in column D, whether to use Simpson instead. I'll follow your advice for next week Hal. 21/Jan/17 3:06 PM |  |
Hurricanes got done, simply not good enough on the day. Ah well.....next year! 21/Jan/17 8:44 PM |  |
Now bring on the Brumbies......only five weeks to go. 21/Jan/17 8:46 PM |  |
Peter, I heard on the grapevine that they got 'scorched'! 21/Jan/17 8:47 PM |  |
 Bad luck Peter, there's always next year. 21/Jan/17 9:01 PM |  |
