I won't name names but one of the comments I got yesterday was that they didn't realize I was doing these in alphabetical order until Judy said something yesterday.

Duh! Totally true for me, too, Serena!
Maybe these are not just for sunny days!

everyone!

We have a Winter Wonderland outside. The problem is....it's Spring. I guess Mother Nature didn't get the memo.

Funny, last year we didn't any rain and the marsh preserve was almost empty of water and migratory fowls. I missed my American Coots and Egrets and a whole lot of other birds.

I dedicate this post to Queen Anne

This year due to the unusual rain patterns, the marsh is nearly full and all the birds came back! Went for a run this morning and there was my old friend the Great Egret. He stands about three feet high, stark white, very hard to miss!

The 'wrong way Corrigan' original Canada geese couple raised a family here a few years ago. Either that or raised a family where they were supposed to (in Canada) but in either case kept bringing back the family to here every winter. Now we have a flock of ten residing in the marsh. A rather noisy neighboring family!

Now they spend their days feeding in the marsh or resting in the scrub area to the east of the willow grove which lines the marsh on the south half. A flock of mallards must either like their company or their protection (did you know geese make very good aggressive watch dogs - don't irk them or they'll attack!) for they rest in a very big group to the west of them!

I love walking through the preserve to photograph the birds and the wildflowers. I try very hard to avoid the mammals, mostly skunks!

I have a red bird protesting loudly, this morning, that the feeder is empty. I informed him, I scattered crackers on the table and I got a 'Really!,' look.

, y'all... no, it just changed to ! Well, it was supposed to be partly cloudy, but that gray layer with no blue sure makes it look like overcast to me.

Tomorrow, Silverteen is taking her first 'official' driving lesson with the local driving academy. Does that make her a driving cadet?!

Recently, I informed the girls that we needed to try on shorts and swim suits, so we know what we have and since one girl was making daisy dukes, look like bloomers at the end of the season last year, we really need to see what we have now.

My computer is the only thing slow. What is the saying, 'I don't think about what I going to say, I like to be surprised like everyone else.'
21/Mar/15 3:14 AM
 |  |

So, being that the girls are not supposed to be here today, I thought for something to do, since it is supposed to T-storming right now and for the rest of the day, they could give me a shorts and swimwear fashion show. I also promised them online shopping spree.
I was met with dead silence, even from the child who is a shopping freak.

Hi Silvergal,

You can use your yesterday's 'Awesome Crown' for a Tea Party.

Just be careful which one you choose.
21/Mar/15 3:41 AM

Yeah, but I'd actually have to wear it right-side up to hold tea .

I just have a strange appreciation for goofy things.

My daughter also took lessons at a driving school. Well worth the money not to have to do it myself. (I did it for my son, enough said) They even took her for her driving test.
I asked her one time when she came home from the lesson how it went. She said it was great. She took the More...

I like your daughter's lesson, Kathy.
We took our driving instructor cruising. When you live in a 3 light time, it only took a few minutes. Then we took him on the back roads. Even though, I have 8 more years to prepare, K has already picked out the car she wants. I do not have a cheap child, but she has fantastic taste.
