Good morning to all. Thank God the rain has stopped in Brisbane. We had leaks in our roof and my golf course looked like a huge river, it is built on a flood plain but we've never seen it like this. I guess there will be lots of water damage. There are still lots of road closures and more rain is forcast. Hubby is on the roof fixing tiles.

My grandma or mother stories: When I had my first daughter, I would go grocery shopping with my baby and mother-in-law and let grandma push the baby. Of course everyone tells my m-i-l that she has a cute daughter, and they don't mean me!
I still think my m-i-l doesn't look 20 some years older More...

My dear Karen - don't look my way!!!! I had enough people ask me about my "grandchild" when I had the last one! (She turns 20 next week.) Those child bearing years have come and gone.

Cathy - I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip!

CynB - glad I caught you! I've been meaning to thank you for sending me the cheesecake recipe. I'm updating the cookbook tonight, so I'll make sure it gets in. But I'd appreciate it if you could also post it on the Recipes page. That way you'll get credit for posting it. Some people just peruse that section instead of going to the cookbook. Thanks!!!

Oh no Jane - that means I'm going to have to type it again!!!! Will do as soon as I can. Thanks for letting me know the etiquette with recipe posting. As you can tell - I don't do it that often.

Hope you get a laugh out of this.

The old explorer said, "Once I was hunting Bengal tigers in the jungles of More...

Nothing's shaking now so we're all right. Although at my father's place (he's closer to the epicenter) we have to replace a large window. The pane just broke away from the sill.

I loved it in North Carolina when I had my grandson by myself, everyone said what a darling "son" I had!!! I'd like to stay a bit longer! Will be going there next month! With hubby in tow! I will have a pharmaceutical supplies to keep him sedated enough to conquer his anxieties but physically able to move himself on command! Golly that sounds like the date r@pe drug.

I'm back.
Baked Atlantic salmon fillets with chat potatoes and tomato salsa followed by orange scented bavarois accompanied by a very dry Tasmanian Sav Blanc. I passed all the students. My wife works at the polytechnic and these days are held every couple of weeks. 3rd year students are a lot better than 1st year students. No dinner tonight just a dry biscuit and a piece of cheese.
