Judy, trust me when my long lost relatives see me, they will be certainly be trying to put layers on me. I have already had an Aunty complain that I'm "tooooo" skinny and she "will make lamb" for me.

Have a great time in Greece, Angie. I've read about weight restrictions various places, but only ever ran into one baggage checker that enforced them.

I know it's disrespectful and irreverent, Angie ... but the only thing that I didn't like about Greece was retsina ... which we affectionately called, "retch-sina!" But everything else in Greece is fabulous! Bon Voyage!

Angie, if you are allowed 2 carry on items, stuff as much as you possibly can in a large back pack or carry on suitcase that will go in the overhead. I have NEVER had those weighed. Then go for a very large tote as your personal item. You'd be surprised what you can jam under the seat!

2am and I'm still here, just got of the phone from my Sis and Mum who tell me that Greece is awaiting me and that the weather is just right!

Keith, that well may be the case where you have been, however knowing the "Greeks", if they can make $ out of you they will, I'm sure I will More...

That's funny, Kathy. The only time I mentioned above was a carry-on, my laptop. I had to remove the power cord/converter box which is quite heavy to get it under weight. That was up in Canada. I've taken it full weight many other times with no problem.

A woman went to the doctor's office. She was seen by one of the new doctors, but after about four minutes in the examination room, she burst out, screaming as she ran down the hall. An older doctor stopped and asked her what the problem was, and she explained. He had her sit down and relax in More...

I agree with Rayray; extra lovely picture today. Also my best time EVER (well below 3 minutes: I'm usually happy if I'm below 4 minutes--a veritable Sudoku tortoise). Nice to see so many familiar people on today.

About to cease my serial posts, but wanted to thank Jane and others for advice re: major down-sizing last time I posted. I am in the home stretch: 10 more days! I found two great ways to ease the process: I have a month of overlap of new and old places, and I am having an action house take More...

A blonde city girl named Amy marries a Colorado rancher.

One morning, on his way out to check on the cows, the rancher says to Amy, "The insemination man is coming over to impregnate one of our cows today, so I drove a nail into the 2 by 4 just above where the cow's stall is in the More...

Good Saturday to y'all!
Got son to the airport this morning (flying back for summer school at Uni)--amazing how much stuff a 19-year-old thinks is essential for 8 weeks in the dorm!

Angie, Is your spirt or Sprit (white lemonade) actually our 'Sprite', I wonder?
21/Jun/09 6:35 AM
 |  |

Oh, Kaaaar-en! Maybe making it to the 24th is still possible?
Please? Pretty please???
21/Jun/09 6:37 AM

I was thinking 'Sprite' too, Shiela.

You're going to make Karen cry
21/Jun/09 6:44 AM

You are right, Kathy!
Something wrong about making a veeer-y pregnant woman cry!!!
21/Jun/09 6:57 AM
 |  |

Ladies, it is not hard to make a very or veeeer-y pregnant woman cry. It is quiet simple actually.

Shiela, you ask so sweetly, but if I go to the 24th, my joking about going to the mental ward afterwards, will not be a joke, it will be a reality.

Poor Karen probably wants to have this baby more than ever now that we're all bugging her round the clock! This may be the Labor Heard 'Round the World!
... but since I'm on here... Karen, any signs? Any regular "slight discomforts"?
21/Jun/09 7:39 AM

Hi all...
I'm now about to end the mystery of when Karen will give birth...Since My entry into the ' when baby is due' contest hinges on the answer...I must be right...therefore...Karen is to give birth on the ....wait for it...

I have been plotting my Monday doctor visit, if this child does not come before then. Which, Eri, my slight discomforts have seemed different today. Last week, I asked sweetly, demanded, threatened, cried and so forth, this Monday, I plan to chain my self to the bed and throw a hormonal fit if he does not give me back my body.

Tomorrow, we are going out to a very public place and since it is Father's day the place should be packed. It is a steak house. One of my fears is to be in public, when events start to occur. If it does happen, I do hope it happens before the check comes.
21/Jun/09 8:12 AM
 |  |

But Karen! Just think! A free meal!!!
(If labor interrupts the process of getting the check, the restaurant probably will be so keen on getting you out of there and not on their premises that they will probably forget all about the check!)
Or you can promise to name the baby after the restaurant!

We have, at the very least, five members from Iran.

If it is possible and safe, please post here, on my page, or come into the chatroom and tell us what we can do to help (as you define it).

Who knows? A couple of hundred emails to the right place may be another useful drop in the bucket.

Shiela, that is the plan, let me eat, go into labor, and management forgets the bill, just to get me out of there.

I am not naming my child Outback.
