Here's a real life example of Neil's 'different versions' story. My dad worked for Ma Bell (phone company). A couple started having a violent fight on the el train. She gets off at next station and runs for the pay phone on the platform to call for help. He is beyond enraged at this point and More...

1.48 Christmas in August. That is what we have just celebrated with hubby's family, it was wonderful too, just about the best turkey I have ever tasted!

We had to queue for quite a while to vote this morning - and it was cold and windy. Luckily we were appropriately rugged up.

Mr P and I went to see a movie this arvo (Girl With a Dragon Tattoo), had a meal after and got hhome not long ago. Into my jammies, and thought I'd settle in to watch a favourite show on telly. But, there's nothing on except election coverage - so I'm off to bed with a book!
