Based on the clue in parentheses, find a four-letter word that can be inserted backwards into the blank to complete a longer word.

Example: di____ve (a defeat)
Answer: dissolve ('A defeat' gives you LOSS, which is placed backwards in the blank: di_SSOL_ve.)

The aye-aye is a lemur, a strepsirrhine primate native to Madagascar that combines rodent-like teeth and a special thin middle finger to fill the same ecological niche as a woodpecker

Totally off topic. Then again, on topic around here is anything we feel like sharing, so I'm NOT off topic! Anyway, we chose and ordered our wallpaper, opting for the light wallpaper with the thin dark gray stripes - the first choice in the photo gallery. I took a sample and a tile piece to various stores and found I could do so much more with it because of the dark gray.

I needed 16 single rolls, which comes in 8 double rolls. Don't ask me why you calculate in single rolls but order in double, it's been like that in all the time I've wallpapered.

I ordered from my local store, opting to pay about $120 more in total over an internet vendor because the local folks had been so helpful. It wasn't in stock, so I was to pay the price as listed in the wallpaper book less 20%.

Well, the wallpaper came in today. Yippee! The store owner informed me that they decided to stock the design and ordered extra for themselves.
