A Thought For The Day:

Wrinkled was not one of the things I wanted to be when I grew up.
24/Feb/14 12:00 AM
 |  |
Better to be wrinkled than under the hill.
24/Feb/14 12:02 AM
 |  |

I was wrinkled when I was young too. That happened every time I stayed in the bath too long.

Being wrinkly is a problem that I really should try to iron out.

A steam iron?

Better still, a steam roller.

Anne, rolling on the floor...

You're next for the steam roller.
24/Feb/14 12:15 AM

I think I'll be rolling off to bed, Neil.

I haven't grabbed the 13 for a very long time.

A VERY GOOD morning for Canada with a golden win in hockey. As Judy has said before, that's because all Canadian babies are born with skates on their feet.

Okay, here's the answers to the ‘Winter Olympics are Winding Down’ puzzle. Note, everyone gets credit for Number 1 because of spelling error.

2. shame and sham
3. (Artful) Dodger and dodge
4. shallow and hallow
5. glisten and Listen
6. pluck and More...

And for your Sunday/Monday puzzle attempts....

1. To take care of the appearance of yourself or of an animal –> this could be a sleeping area, a den or a kitchen
2.A multi-national agreement that this was exactly 0.9144 meters –> Denise Crosby played her as chief of security in More...

everyone!

Thanks, Dave. I was wondering where that gorgeous view was.

I waited, Keith! Just.

I've been watching the Decorah eagles this morning. They are busy getting the nest ready for the imminent egg laying. What an amazing process.
24/Feb/14 2:11 AM
 |  |

The camera on the new nest is much better than the one used on the old nest for 3 years. The way it is positioned you can see some great fly ins.
Trust me, if you start watching, you'll be hooked.

The photo sure looks like the California Sierra Nevadas, but it could be the Rockies. Do you see why I spend 3-4 months in this glorious place, taking even just short hikes to views like this? The red effect is called Alpenglow and is NOT due to digital manipulation ... it is for real. I see it every evening on a mountain across from my cabin! Thank you, God!
24/Feb/14 4:56 AM
 |  |

I just googled ''Alpenglow'' There are some pretty spectacular images. I would love to see that, Judy! Wow.
24/Feb/14 5:16 AM

Well the games have closed. Very spectacular. Now to get a bit of sleep before my day begins.
Might just check the Eagles first as I think I have that site bookmarked.

Morning all, stunning view. Judy it must be wonderful to see it for real.

Good morning everyone. Kathy could you please post the link to the eagles? I would love to take a peek!
