We will be celebrating Fat Tuesday Today. Hubby usually goes on the wagon during lent, so of course we go out to his favorite beer pub for dinner. MIL and FIL will stay home with the kids, so I will bake them a King Cake for their dessert. 25/Feb/09 12:10 AM |  |

Good morning all! A bit chilly this morning, 12F! It's been a very dry month. We've had the least amount of snow for February since 1885. That might mean we're in for a rough March! Have a great day! 25/Feb/09 12:21 AM |  |
When I lived in Hawaii, I had a Lime tree located next to the back porch. I could reach out and pick one as needed... 25/Feb/09 12:22 AM |  |
 Hello Everyone. I miss you all. 25/Feb/09 12:25 AM |  |
Mornn' Shosho. Debby, ya can have my share of the prunes. I had a bad experience with them while camping. Most of a one lb box while horseback riding in the Oregon Cascade mountains. Haven't liked prunes since, Ha! 25/Feb/09 12:26 AM |  |
Doubt of the day: Do taller people sleep longer in the bed?? 25/Feb/09 12:28 AM |  |

Hello Angie nice to see you posting x I've been shriving all day today... 'I have pancakes in most of my pocketsAnd concealed in the lining of suitesThere are tiny ones stuffed in my mittensAnd large one packed in my boots' (JP). 25/Feb/09 12:37 AM |  |
We have had over 77 inches of snow this year and it is only the end of February! It was 6 (F) when I got up this morning! Jerry/WA - I would love to have a lime tree outside my door! Of course, it wouldn't be too bad living in Hawaii either! I am sorry to hear about your experience with prunes! I love the flavor. 25/Feb/09 12:39 AM |  |
Hello Angie! How are things up there in Wisconsin? Is your snow melting any? 25/Feb/09 12:41 AM |  |
Good morning Worldly People--It is a wonderful day to wake up.I fit into Fat Tuesday very well. Who is going to make us pancakes this morning? The girl loves them and I like mine thin but not as thin as crepes. 25/Feb/09 12:45 AM |  |
Debby, don't forget your earmuffs when you go out. 25/Feb/09 1:14 AM |  |
Debby, Re living in Hawaii. After a while it was Just another shi@#y day in paradise.... I can't really remember how long it took for that feeling to set in. I remember after a year or so I spent time in a futile search for the on ramp to the bridge back to the real world. That was the first time I was stationed out there. The second time I knew what to expect and enjoyed it more... 25/Feb/09 1:20 AM |  |
Good morning all! We were hoping to get a cutting from a neighbor's lime tree to plant in our yard, but the extreme cold weather a couple of weeks ago did the poor tree in! It looks completely dead, but maybe it will come back. The limes are fabulous. They're the size of small grapefruit, seedless and extremely juicy. I got a half liter of juice from a dozen limes! 25/Feb/09 1:22 AM |  |
Jerry - We went to Hawaii on our Honeymoon many years ago. (December) It was very nice to be where it was warm. We were there for only a week and we would like to go back someday for two weeks. We were on the Island of Oahu. It would be fun to visit the other Islands. (I think Spring fever has set in!) I am ready for winter to be over. 25/Feb/09 1:27 AM |  |
Jane - Oh yummy! Limeade!!!! I don't know much about tropical trees. My mom and dad have 3 mango trees in their back yard. (Each is a different species of mangos.) They survived Charlie! My dad had to set one back up and into the ground but it "took!" Maybe there is hope for the lime tree. 25/Feb/09 1:31 AM |  |
 Have a great day everyone! 25/Feb/09 1:33 AM |  |
Debby, I spent most of my time, 6 years total, on Oahu. I spent some time on Maui, and one weekend I don't remember much about (major party) in Hilo on the "big island" (Hawaii) 25/Feb/09 1:34 AM |  |
Hope you are feeling better soon, Debby! 25/Feb/09 1:35 AM |  |
It's almost light. I could see without turning on the lights when I got up. Now the puzzle. 25/Feb/09 1:36 AM |  |
