We finally have sunshine today! I'm happy to see it. I think I was on the verge of molding.

I was playing cards yesterday. The first game we played is called ''Hand and Foot''. There were 5 of us there and the game took two hours. That left time for just three other games. More...

By way of a test, I have submitted a few smilies for approval. When I first became a Supporting Member, personal smilies were approved within a day or so. The last time I did it, it took literally months. I'm curious to know if there is any improvement in the time.

Europe had some surprising weather yesterday - The Beast from the East - GrannieMo's apricot tree lost all its blossoms as a result.

Morning all. Kathy, I submitted a couple of smilies about two weeks ago. They are still awaiting review.

And supposedly, we get more on Thursday!
When I go to school on Friday, it should be over with the wet stuff but it'll still be cold in the 50's! Ugh and this week we're celebrating Dr Seuss! Everyone suppose to come on Friday in their pajamas! Hmmm, I'm going to drive cross town in my nightgown? I need to rethink that. Maybe arctic pajamas instead.

Today, I'm missing out on the mustache day. Should be a hoot. Can you see a whole class of kindergarten children with a mustache?

As for ''smilie''and picture approval, perhaps, due to the abandonment of the site by many choosing instead to spend their time on FB or Twit, as indicated by the low 'post counts', the ''powers that be'' deem the time maintaining this site wasted. Just a thought...

There are also, more than a few, I think who have left or ceased to participate as a result of being ostracized for their political, social or religious views.

Here's to ya, Keith.

Then there are some, who through their 'above and beyond' participation, continue to provide folks with an incentive to visit.

A BIG THANKS TO THOSE WHO PROVIDE PUZZLES, ON A SEMI-REGULAR BASIS ! (We all know who I'm talking about.)

Today’s ECCO is all about animals, mostly wild.

Remember the last letter of an answer is the same as the first letter of the next answer.

Yes, DoA - 3 cheers for the poozle-makers... keeps us returning over & over for their challenges!

Peter's ecco taught me a new Australian word. I did not know what moggies were and now I do. I wondered how it came to be, since cat is already so short and moggy is longer.... turns out it is a term for mouse, and cats were moggy catchers, shortened, of course, in Australia, to just moggy.

Spring in February is confusing the tulips, which I noticed are already four or five inches out of the ground. If we go back to winter... well, maybe it's too late for that now, though spring snow used to happen around here when I was a little kid.

Yes, Sarah - today I raked several of the gardens free of some of the offending leaves, which the tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and yuccas often spear their emerging sprouts directly through - there are spring bulbs up at least 3 inches around here ...with snow in the forecast for Friday and Saturday! Winter is not done with us just yet!

I have a daffodil bud that 'buried its head' in the latest snow fall and cold temps. The snow has melted and the bud is rising back up. I'm told that snow can be an insulator...

Good luck with your submissions. Still waiting for approval of my avatar which is now several months (6?) in the system. The thing that keeps this site going is the camaraderie and the genuine friendship displayed by many of the participants. Obviously though the income from the site is not sufficient to engender site owner participation to any great degree
