There's a big yellow thing in the sky!!! I'd almost forgotten what it looked like, especially after yesterday's rain, sleet and snow storm.

Today's our last day, for this season, in Santa Barbara. We're packing up and heading home to rainy Vancouver. I'm going to miss this sunny wonderful city, but we hear that at home the daffodils are up and our camellia's long been in bloom. And it won't be too long until Vancouver's long sunny days return too.

everyone!
The rain is gone. We have lots of sunshine and blue skies. We also have wind that could knock you off your feet. I have to go grocery shopping this afternoon. Perhaps Sarah and I will whoosh past each other.

This whole winter we've had negligible snow, barely measurable, certainly none downtown where I live. Unless we have a March surprise, it's a remarkable year - which the weather folks keep remarking on!

I'm going grocery shopping, too, but all the stores have indoor parking so I will not be windblown.

The whole east coast is getting power winds & they become stronger as they proceed farther north; makes for a very frigid wind chill too!

Hang on & have a good day!

You may have noticed that I have not been very active on the site for some time now. One person has asked me if I’m OK.

In a word: NO.

My 81st year was not a good one. The COPD got worse and I am on the oxygen concentrator all of my hours awake. Then I came down with a case of Deep More...

Yes, Dear Hal, your year has truly sucked. Things can only go up from here, eh? We are with you and will support you, so please stop by and visit with us! Thanks for the update. You will be on our minds and in our hearts.

Oh Hal, I'm so sorry to hear of your health problems. Hang in there and plan to do some things you enjoy. I now realise how privileged I am that you did the Out & In puzzle despite your problems. The fact that you got it completely correct means there can't be anything wrong with your intellectual powers

Something to brighten your day.

MY DADDY SLEEPS NAKED
'Late again!' the third-grade teacher sternly said to little Robbie.
'It ain't my fault this time, Miss Russell. You can blame this 'un on my Daddy.
The reason I'm three hours late is my Daddy sleeps naked!'
Miss Russell had More...

all, I love sudokuland because I get to celebrate my birthday on 2 days. The only time I was able to do that was when we crossed the international dateline on our way to Fanning Island in the Pacific

Best wishes to you HalT. Hope all works well for you. Phantom, Scott (Scout) has been trying to become a member for over a year & has had problems. Scout was his nickname when he became lost in the tundra in northern Quebec while he was working on the Manicouagan Dam in northern Quebec!

A thought Snowbird. If Scout set up a gmail account he would then be able to set up a Sudoku account using those details?

Friday 28th February.

So sorry to hear about Hal's bad year. I've been on oxygen for COPD for years, 24/7 for a long time. That caused the inside of my nose to dry out, get sores that scabbed over, pretty uncomfortable. I took 5 days off, no oxygen at all, which got my nose relatively back to normal. I'm now doing More...
