And I want more rain here. We're already in a nasty drought and summer just started a few days ago. One of my Turkeys just hatched out a whole bunch of poults (babies), 2 hens hatched out a lot of chicks and we've had 5 lambs born in the last 24 hours.

Now, it's More...

Been working all day with the back up of the old hard drive to figure out, what to load on to the computer. I have a "minor glitch" with windows and the new "k" drive - which complicates the issue and keeps sending error messages to Microsoft. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Feeling much younger now! I was in Year 3 in 1972 (except it was called 3rd Class back then). I finished high school in 1981.

Amelia, '64' seemed so far off when we all cheerfully sang it, didn't it? Where did those years go.

Heidi:
My sheep here are very excited about your news of new-born lambs. They are baa-ing away about it among themselves. They are a very sentimental flock when it come to the little ones and are busy gossiping about their own families..

GrannieMo: I have to think much further back than 25 years to get the desired image. Maybe 40 years ago. Then I was slim, lithe and fit, and the world seemed to be my oyster. Imagine being like that and also being in possession of the understanding of the world that our current accumulated experience has endowed upon us. Wow!
29/Jun/08 8:57 PM
 |  |

Exactly Rayray.
I wish it was only 25 years ago that I was 25!
We thought we knew so much and would live forever. I think the thing that stands out most is my teachers that I thought were sooo old and should retire were probably half the age I am now

I think we are much younger in our 60's ++ now than in our parents generation. Maybe it was all that loud music, late nights etc.
29/Jun/08 9:12 PM
 |  |

Yes GannieMo and in our 50's ++. lol
29/Jun/08 9:15 PM
 |  |

That's true. My parents seemed decrepit and with one foot in the grave at my present age. But perhaps we are that too now, but are in a state of denial about it.

Reminds me of when I was walking in the street with a younger friend in Padang, Sumatra a few years back. I said "Steady on and slow down; I'm getting old you know!" He replied, "You are not getting old ----------you ARE old".
