I read the posts from yesterday and I see I missed a couple of birthdays. I must go and wish them a belated birthday. Karen, I do hope you are feeling much better today.

Life has a new outlook today. I am alive. That is always good thing, I think. Even thought about food again, without going into spasms. Would you believe my craving is a pickle sandwich? I do not wish this crap on anyone, but if you so happen to get it, Imodium. One dose for me, worked and it did More...

everyone!
going to be a hot one today - 97°F!
Unfortunately, I am supposed to help hubby sell tickets to the county fair at the entry gate (in a tiny little booth the size of an outhouse) during the hottest part of the day! It has a fan, but if it's More...

OH, the downfall of having a helpful husband. He was great during my out-of-whack week, took care of the Things, got their clothes ready for school, baths, dinners and all that after he worked 14 hour drives. He did all that and has managed to use every towel in the house in 4 days, rearrange 4 FPA More...

Oh, Shiela, you are lucky. I did not let the Things go over night until after they were a year. Thing I, spent 4 days a week with my mom, while I was in school, but never over night.
When she 6 weeks, I had to leave her for the first time, ticked my mother off royally because I called all day More...

These days, they can be gone a day, or less before I miss them. MIL generally takes them on a Friday and returns them on Sunday and I wonder why she did not keep them till Monday. Work is no excuse.

Marriage Counseling

After 35 years of marriage, a husband and wife came for counseling. When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a passionate, painful tirade listing every problem they had ever had in the years they had been married.

On and on and on: neglect, lack of More...

Answer to yesterday’s puzzle: They are the twenty most commonly used words in the English language. Congrats to Kathy(FL), DotCom, lonewoof, Kathy(MD), Shosho, Grumblebum and Plum. An autographed copy of the latest edition of the Webster’s dictionary is in the mail for each of you.

HalT, interesting list.
Also interesting:
'he' is at #11
'she' is at #46
Are there that many more males in the population?

I'm surprised that 'oil' is in that list.

OH, my poor Things have suffered.

Great! A new dictionary! Hubby says I may be the last person on earth who actually looks up words rather than clicking on a mouse.

I use my dictionary, Kathy.
I love my books. I miss my books. All I can do most of the time with my books is dust them.

Wish me luck, folks. I am off to attempt solid food. Though, I am in my forth day of liquids, I really have not missed food. I am told that any task the third day is the hardest, maybe I have kicked that habit of eating.

I don't believe I could survive for long without my microwave. I remember having to warm everything in pans on the stove. Then wash the pans. I'd rather just zap.

Shiela, Maybe "He" is higher on the list because She uses it more often than He uses "She". (While whing, snivel, etc.)

HalT.... i was going to say that they were all words of one syllable, but I didn't think that was the answer you wanted.

Only Thing I, is suffering the death of the microwave. Her morning chocolate milk must be warmed, not hot. I am sure if our weather ever changes, we will need the microwave.
