G'day mates. Here's today's daffynition:
card — Someone in a play suit.

...and here's today's factoid:
Each king in a deck of playing cards represents a great king from history:
Spades - King David
Clubs - Alexander the Great
Hearts - Charlemagne, and
Diamonds - Julius Caesar.

The rumors are true. I was playing hookey yesterday. It was an absolutely gorgeous day yesterday and there was no way I was spending it inside on the computer.

Hello, everyone!
No today.
One more day of taking care of my neighbor's 22+ year old cat. I've had some rough times with her, but she seems to be doing better. I'm knocking on wood as I type! - (You can do that when you type one-fingered!)

Before I go.....

It's MATH Monday!

A group of workers from the Madadian Kebab Recycling Factory went on a holiday to the sun soaked coast of Madadia. It rained for 13 days. But when it rained in the morning, the afternoon was lovely. And when it rained in the afternoon, the day More...

On the topic, from yesterday, I am now so proud of my darling. No, not HalT, Man. He has learned that his phone is voice activated. I was his first call. He has only had that phone for two years and there has been discussion of updating.

Today, I am home alone, the school would not take my eldest, so of course, Bammaw has her darlings.
Though yesterday, we questioned our consent on letting her have them. She cannot keep up with her phone and lost it at the park. So, Man and I spent a good part of the day calling around to see if she still had our babies.

Strange, how the neighbor of, the child, that MIL watches found the phone. He answered it when Man called, and made arrangements to get it back.

Now, I am seriously thinking of throwing out all the empty boxes that were brought home yesterday. I grabbed a box yesterday and the odor that came from it, was not pleasant. It was a produce box, my thought rotten veggies. So, put that box outside. This morning, I instead of walking into the More...

Race for #22 over. Now I can say all.

Our new little grandson Chase is growing FAST! Daughter texted me from the pediatrician's office that he weighed in at 10lb.1oz., a gain of over a pound in just 17 days! I have posted another of the pro photographer's pictures of him when he was 6 days old.

Rainy here.
Good luck with the senior cat, Shiela!
We had our two at the vet's this weekend for their vaccinations ... Spike was fabulous, Arthur ... not so much. Still it was his best, calmest visit, until we got home and he refused to let us take the harness off. Ran around the house More...

For those of you who were talking about cell phones (or lack there of) yesterday, an interseting tidbit:

As of 2012, about 50.4% of American mobile subscribers owned a smartphone, with more than two-thirds of Americans age 25 to 34 owning one.

They keep spraying cats in a grocery store? Is there a problem with mice?
I think I'd find my boxes elsewhere, Karen. That smell will permeate everything!

I am back from the dentist. It seems I need a root canal. The ex-ray showed an abscess. I have had no pain at all. I haven't needed any work done on my teeth for many years, aside from the twice yearly cleaning. I would have preferred a simple little filling!

Kathy, I don't think they let the cats stay in the back room, I think the cats allow them to use it. And back room is stretching it. A place at the back of the store, that is attached and covered.
I am back to believing it was a produce box. Since, we mainly have clothes left, I really do not More...

My son flew up from Melbourne last night. Nice to have him home for a couple of night. Just wish it was for a better occasion. It is my MIL's funeral today. She would have been 99 in June. A lovely lady who was still out playing bingo 4 weeks ago.

June, my sympathies on your MILs passing. It is nice that you get to see your son. I will be in the same situation later this week.

Karen, throw the boxes away. I have been slowly switching to plastic boxes for moving/storage, especially clear ones that reveal their contents. I even duct tape the edges to keep critters out.
