Good afternoon to all! What a super photo to have captured!!! I have been on this highway and by this crossing, but there was no wildlife on their special bridge at that time. Kudos to the photographer!

Ok, I went out to the store and bought some ham hocks. Now, would someone (other than Judy) please tell me what to do with them.

My apologies for this rude joke but it's most appropriate and rather funny, I think.

A lady walked into a Police Station and the desk Sergeant said "Can I help you?"

"Yes" she said, "I'd like to report a case of $exual assault".

A mother is driving her little girl to her friend's house for a play date.

'Mummy ,' the little girl asks, 'how old are you?'

'Honey, you are not supposed to ask a lady her age,' the mother replied. 'It's not polite.'

'OK', the little girl says, 'how much More...

Other than some obvious suggestions for your ham hocks, Jane ... we use them in bean soup ... they really give it a good flavor ... and you can leave the chunks of meat in the soup. I'll even share our secret family recipe for the soup ... but then I'll have to ... well, you know ...

I do love bean soup, Judy, but I'm actually looking for a southern New Year's dish. After more 30 years of living in the South, I'm thinking it's time I learned to cook southern. We do eat black-eyed peas on New Year's - and greens. But I don't know what I'm supposed to do with the ham hocks. I More...

Jane, when Man prepares his beans, he plops the ham hocks in. Careful on the saltiness. After used in whatever beans he fixes, the bone is used in a soup, then the dogs have a treat.

I do hope you all remember to put a small, peeled potato in your beans to take out the poot. And please do not eat that potato.
Man ate the potato once. I will not go into detail about the experience. For him, he said it was the most delicious part of his pot of beans. For me...well, let's just say, before serving, I make sure that potato disappears, before he gets it.

I've just been watching a DVD of The Incredible Shrinking Man. I remember watching it when I was a kid and it seemed scary, now I can't help laughing at it.
I can't remember ever seeing the leading actor again, was that because he shrunk away to nothing?

Hi everyone.
Hope you all have a Happy New Year.
Hubby is cranky here as I did not feel like going out to see the fireworks at the carnival.
I will be in bed before midnight for sure.

Not very much of 2010 left here. We heard the 9pm fireworks from the city (12k away) and could see the glow in the sky. Could probably see them from the roof but just feel I am getting a bit old to climb up there at night!

It is a beautiful night. Warm (23*c)clear with lots of stars and Jupiter setting in the western sky. I even saw a meteorite so I was able to make a wish (on a falling star).
Some early fireworks being let off in the distance. 19 minutes to go!

I could, but I won't.
