Nite Mamacita.....sweet dreams

Rola, that would have been fun. I was aware Robert was coming to the bay area (San Francisco) before I went down there, but didn't know details. He(they) sure picked the scenic route. Highways 101 and 5 would have been much faster, but nowhere near as pretty.

Night Mamacita. Take care.

KEITH: Best wishes to Lynne for a speedy recovery. I'll bet that she was in a LOT of pain prior to the surgery. Is the surgery likely to end the problem permanently?

Judy, we've been told that's true, and are hoping for the best. We were told the muscle that is attached to the Achilles tendon is too tight, and the extra pull is what encouraged the bone spurs to grow. The operation removed the bone spur and stretched the muscle. We've been told it will not grow back.

Yikes! Is Lynne pretty active? Isn't she still working? Will she have to work during her recovery? Are her spirits good? Does this mean that you will be a helpful little house elf for the next 12 weeks as she recovers? Cool! :)
 |  |
Judy, she's been retired 2 years, but forces herself to stay active trying to keep her weight down. I retired 2 years before she did, and did all the household chores while she was working and I wasn't, so, I'll do fine taking it all on again while she recuperates. One of the beautiful things about our relationship is that we both believe we should share the burden of responsibility equally.

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive double pane energy-efficient kind. But this week I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the work had been completed a whole year ago and I hadn't paid for them. Now just because I'm blonde More...

Hey Keith, its always the noisy minority that get heard. I'm sure you know most of us Aussies, esp those on this site, are not obnoxious. Ignore the idiots is my advice. There will always be a few of them, no matter what their nationality.

anew: What a complicated definition of 'Baz'. Every Baz I ever met was in fact Barry, and all of them have a certain - er - character. Of course, Baz (aka ESM)could be Basil, but I can't see that at all. Besides, the only Basils I can think of (Basil Rathbone, Basil Brush and Basil Fawlty) could never be called simply Baz.

A cowboy rode into town and stopped at a saloon for a drink. Unfortunately, the locals had a habit of picking on strangers, which he definitely was. When he finished his drink, he found his horse stolen.
He went back into the bar, handily flipped his gun into the air, caught it above his head More...

I've finally caught up on the archives, but had to skim a fair bit. One interesting bit was to find out that for some time there was a site problem within Australia and no-one could post, yet Baz managed to. Hmmmm

Apparently, perfume makers ask people to descibe situations that they would like to be in (for example - on a beach in Tahiti) and then make a perfume that will capture that 'picture' for the wearer. If they let me choose a perfume More...

Victoria, funding for roads is less important to me, and I live in an area with some of the worst roads in Australia. I don't believe that the state of our roads determines the road toll. It's the person behind the wheel More...
