Thinking about Sarah and hoping she can drop by at some point and give us an update. What an ordeal for her.

I have a busy weekend coming up. I have the great-grandies staying overnight on Friday so their Dad can take their Mom out for a birthday dinner and movie. Then Sunday, I am having the family for a dinner celebration here. I asked her what she wanted me to make. She requested pot pie because More...

Well - if you live anywhere near a Wegmans, Kathy, they are noted for their pot pies!

Otherwise, they are no different from an apple pie, well..... except for the filling - haha!

Good news! The swelling in my middle finger has gone down! So I can bend it and don't have to hold the hand up to relieve the pain brought on by the swelling! A bit safer for me because I don't look like I'm giving the birdie to anyone I meet!

Plum, I just came back on the site (which I rarely do) and saw your advice. So with that help I tried the puzzle again and brought this morning's 2:02 time down to 1:24. My question: do you look for, or can you just 'see', the best solving pattern in advance? That is, is there some skill I should be trying to master?

Oh, Sarah!!! We are still hoping things have gone well with your surgical arm-setting & that healing has begun with swelling subsiding - wow; so much to have happen before you're comfortable!!

Ha-ha - Snowbird! How well I understand your final statement - BUT, we have GRAND-dogs? Harrumph!

This looks like a freshwater crocodile (freshie) to me. They are generally smaller and slimmer than their saltwater cousins, and are rarely involved in attacks on humans.

Don't be misled by the naming differentiation, though. Saltwater crocodiles (salties) are just as happy in fresh water as they are in salt. These are the ones that cause most damage to humans, livestock and watercraft.

Thanks everyone for your expressions of concern. Surgery is Friday. I will be staying with cousins after that, using their computer to check email maybe but probably not coming here until I get back home. Right now my arm is uncooperative about finding comfortable positions, especially to sleep, More...

It is good to hear that some damaged parts are healing well, but a bit disappointing to have to wait so long for your operation. It is also helpful to have co-operative cousins to assist during your convalescence. L hope they spoil you.
