It is a charity event, that started off for all charities, but now mainly for animal charities.

And for today.....

The following clues give definitions for world capitals. These definitions describe what the capitals (just the city) sound like they would mean.

1) This capital is a recently opened store for cooked meats.
2) This capital is plant-covered bovine.
3) More...

Good morning everyone. Another rainy day here. I like rain, but would love to see a little sunshine so my vegetable garden will grow!! I've lived here over 40 years and this is the coldest (we had snow two weeks ago), wettest spring I've seen.

Everyone seems busy elsewhere today, as am I, but I did have to take a break and wish y'all a good Maen. The g/f and a neighbor are out working on my hosta garden and I feel it's my duty to supervise.

TM is out using one of his big pieces of equipment to find a leak in one of the pipes in the corral. There are holes everywhere. Yesterday he had me help, watch the hole for pipes, go turn the pump on and off. Hmmm, strawberry blond in a tank top, standing outside in the heat, being insect More...

I'm sorry Francesca Schiavone didn't win the French Open final, but Li Na certainly deserved the win. Her game was nearly flawless. Tomorrow's men's final should be a good one, too, with Nadal and Federer facing off.

I'll be glad when Roland Garros is over, however. We've been splurging on Brie, pate (sorry, too lazy to do accents), croissants and baguettes! Need a few weeks to shape up before it's strawberries and cream time!

Good/bad idea. I was going a little crazy of being inside all week. Man wanted to take the girls to the water park, but I am not ready to get hot. So, I thought I would just run to the Dollar Store and get some much needed snacks. (Yep, no food, just snacks). My first clue, that this was not a good More...

waiting for the guys to come by to work on my bathroom - but enjoyed the fine arts faire today - if I didn't pick up a wonderful piece of art for 850 -- did I save or gain that amount of money ???

when I went by the farmer's market on the way to the fine arts faire - I saw a wonderful plant also - but I have a strict rule - I can't buy anything that doesn't fit on the bike - you would be amazed what I can fit on that bike's basket --

You're right about calico cats, Bev. I have one that is part tabby and part calico, and she constantly likes to make her opinions known, especially late evenings.

Good for you, mymare! I do all my shopping by bike, too. What doesn't fit in the bike basket hangs from the handlebars or gets stowed in my backpack. The only time I drive to the grocery store is when I need an 18-pound bag of catfood or a case of beer. (Or when I'm going shopping in Brunswick).

I also ride my bike to the beach. I have a backpack beach chair that has a huge pocket that holds my beach towel, book, sunscreen and even a small cooler. I've only put 5,000 miles on my new car that I bought in November, and that includes our round-trip to Cleveland in January which accounts for nearly 2,000 of those miles.
