The answer to yesterday's puzzle: S S S S
Count by 5's and take the first letter to sixty, sixty-five, seventy, and seventy-five.

A tip of the hat to Jamie and Greg!

How about this one to keep you occupied until Fiona arises from her sofa tomorrow?

Take the given words, and by moving a single letter from one word to the other, make a pair of synonyms, or near synonyms. For example, given: Boast - Hip, move the 's' from 'Boast' to 'Hip' More...

I will go to a baseball game, and stay for the fireworks. Happy 4th of July!
I think that is a phantom jet in afterburner mode in the picture, but it almost has to be a different plane. US phased them out of even National Guard by the 1990s, just too loud and polluting.

And yes I know thats not in the USA; our allies once used these aircraft as well, and they usually follow our lead on aircraft.
At least when they can :D

Happy 4th of July to those in my neck of the woods - warming up and storms are on the way - but right now - the sun is out and the wind is picking up - still time to play outside -- I hav'nt seen any Hot air balloons this year from Lisle's Eyes to the Skies - thought I heard on early this morning - but no sighting

I have read how the younger generation doesn't know the why we celebrate July 4th. It is sad to think we are letting our children down when it comes to our history. It's a shame they think only about barbeque and fireworks.

Sadly, it's a natural phenomenon. The longer a nation thrives, the more complacent the citizens become. By the time they realize they're in trouble, it's usually too late to do anything about it.

I'll be going to a baseball game, too, Jim. There will be extended fireworks after the game. Extended, because there are fireworks every Saturday, but because it's the 4th there will be a much longer display. They are expecting a big crowd, so we will be leaving early. Even though we have More...

Jaime and I will be leaving for Jekyll Island soon. We want to make sure we get a good parking place by the beach. The fireworks start at 9:30, but there's live music from 4:30 on. We're bringing our bikes so we can pedal around for a couple of hours and also bike to a restaurant for an early More...

Kathy {Katitude}, Rob, Keith, Lynne, Vici hope you are enjoying your 4th. Nothing like a good parade, with a BBQ to follow. The main ingredient being, good friends to share it with.

Happy Birthday, USA!

We will have fireworks here on Monday, the 5th. It was set for the 1st but changed due to rain. Fireworks are one of my favorite things.

Good morning CP and other fellow Sudokuists.

Rayray - great to "see" you!! How will we go about getting a copy of your printed poems?

Thanks Jamie,
Yes. I shall be thinking about that - you all having copies of the poem effort. From your support you deserve availability of copies - and I think you will be well pleased if you get one.

By the way - What do you think of this link?

Hello everyone, the F111 fighter will have its last flight at the Williamtown RAAF open day in September and I don't even have to leave home to see it. Happy 4th of July to all our USA friends.

If you get publishing info, I will hope I am around to see it!
