Morning Sudoku Fans!
Looks like we're going to have a fabulous fall day here. Putting some sod down in an area of the back yard (just off the new deck) that can be landscaped now that much of our construction mess has been cleaned away.

Today we are getting estimates for our roof damage... The rest of the tree gets cut down tomorrow.
08/Oct/11 12:22 AM
 |  |

Hate to see it go, but too much of a chance the rest of the tree will do worse if (or when in this case) it falls.

Shiela you will have plenty of firewood........
08/Oct/11 12:29 AM
 |  |

Lots and lots of firewood, I'm afraid. The neighbors have even put in their requests if we were't going to keep it!
It's a Bradford Pear tree. I guess it's good firewood.
NOTE: Don't ever buy a Bradford Pear. They ARE a pretty shaped tree, but when they get older (around 20-25 More...

Skiing opens in Colorado tomorrow!

Wolf Creek opens on Saturday after a recent snowstorm dropped nearly 3 feet of snow! October 7th is the supposedly earliest Colorado has ever opened!

I finally did the puzzle...
The flowers on today's easy page are beautiful! Interestingly, a fellow artist was painting those flowers last night in my painting class and I had no idea what they were called. Now I know what they are!
Thanks, Wendy!

Very funny Hal! I'm ready!
We stoked up our fireplace (wood burning insert) 2 nights ago as it dipped into the 30's.
We have a huge mountain of stacked wood because of the damage this past winter did. We should be set for awhile.

Yeah, Hal ... what is snow?

And I wouldn't care one way or another about putting in the Bradford Pear ... in 25 years, I won't be around to see the freakin' thing fall anyway!
