Good Morning!!! It is November 8, 2007.November 8 is the 312th day of the year (313th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 53 days remaining until the end of the year. On this day in 1970 - Tom Dempsey kicked a National Football League record 63 yard (57.6 meter) field goal to give the New Orleans Saints a 19-17 victory over the Detroit Lions at Tulane Stadium.Have a great day.

Continuting on with Old Time TV - we go back to '68 & the JACK PAAR Show. He was one of the first to give late night TV the "OPENING MONOLOGUE". While this is a look at "current events" (40 years ago) - somethings never change.

Happy Birthday Cathy. I don't know how many this is for you but remember that there is only one alternative to getting older and getting older is far better than the alternative. PS I am 71 years old.

Happy Birthday Spade and Cathy but I thought yesterday was Cathy's. This, "around the world celebration" is so confusing at times!!!

Win - it is good to hear from you. Hope the political situation is stablizing somewhat. Unfortunately, news from your part of the world is sporadic. We subscribe to two daily newspapers here, and neither has decent international coverage.

Denny - I agree on the birthday confusion! I guess it means that those of us in the U.S. and Canada frequently get two days of birthday greetings. Nothing wrong with that.
Happy Birthday to Spade (which I guess might actually be on Thursday in Canada?).

Rayray - I don't know if you're a fan of Italian food, but the following recipe is a good low-fat/cholesterol dish. My husband and I eat vegetarian 3 or 4 nights a week, and this is one of our favorites:

FENNEL & OLIVE PASTA SAUCE

Last night, I was surprised to see a LARGE RV on the parking pad on my property. It was bigger than the one my neighbor occassionally parks there. (It hadn't hooked up.)

Thought maybe someone had left me a present. Except, I don't think I could drive one that BIG.

This morning I More...

Rayray - Here's a chicken recipe that should fit the low cholesterol bill. (I suppose you could substitute boneless skinless chicken breasts for the thighs, but the thighs have so much more flavor that it's worth the extra work to remove all excess fat before cooking them):
