 Hello/Goodbye/Good Night!! 16/Jul/11 12:05 AM |  |
 5:46. Hi and good night all. 16/Jul/11 12:10 AM |  |
We have Downy woodpeckers at our house and they LOVE the Woodpecker Picnic Suet I put out. 16/Jul/11 12:14 AM |  |
Always enjoy watching the Downy woodpeckers. 16/Jul/11 12:51 AM |  |
 That's a really nice bird feeder, Sue. 16/Jul/11 12:51 AM |  |
 Very cute! 16/Jul/11 12:54 AM |  |
maen all! we stopped putting suet out except in the winter after a bear destroyed my son's well head feeding station last year...what a mess...we found the suet cages by the fence line...squished flat by his teeth...and those are strong cages! 16/Jul/11 2:00 AM |  |
deltz - that's quite a story. I'm glad we don't have bear bothering us here. (A few apocryphal sightings in the area, but the real cougar were bad enough!) 16/Jul/11 2:23 AM |  |
I have always loved birds - it is just at this time - my love is being tested by my univied guests (Chimney Swifts). Saw a Downey outside a little earlier - often around - like the wild turkeys. Occassionaly the turkeys will fly up onto the roof (takes a lot of energy) - it is more likely that a Downey will be pecking on the siding or working on the wood shingles - which are falling off. 16/Jul/11 5:08 AM |  |

I am the same - but in my case it is the pesky Herring Gulls that drive me potty.Thank heavens they'll soon go away - with their horrible, dirty, noisy 'children'. 16/Jul/11 9:36 AM |  |
4:35 Morning all! I love magpies and they gather on the lawn near my back door most mornings singing their lovely songs. 16/Jul/11 10:50 AM |  |
 and I'll take the 13 as well. 16/Jul/11 10:50 AM |  |
http://sudoku.com.au/11Another bright, sunny Winter's morning here in Cape Town today. Egyptian geese making a clattering noise on a neighbour's roof. Hadidahs digging busily in the front garden. Pigeons calling to each other. Hmmm, no woodpecker though. Pity. 16/Jul/11 5:28 PM |  |
