A new blog page that reveals how to make deductions considering only one type of candidate at a time (I call this coloring), will use today's tough puzzle for the illustrations.

The new page should be available about 2 hours after the new day here at sudoku.com.au.

The page will More...

Looks a bit warmer than our +2F
 |  |
Set a record low last night! 23F and down right chilly for south Texas! I'd love to be on a warm beach right now!
 |  |
3:23, probably a record for me on medium. That's around my average for the easy ones! And now I'm really going to bed!
 |  |
3:09 Maen Pretty beach... where is Anglesea Beach?
 |  |
Those that are where the blizzards are hope you are warm and safe. We are in for another hot day later on so I'm going to bed for an early rise to get all the chores done before the heat hits. Good night at 12:50 am.

Dan I'm not sure but I think it's down Melbourne way I think it could be one of Ian's /S photo's from when he was on holiday. ( Don't quote me ok ) lol

Pretty Beach. Where is this?
 |  |
mAen! 3:26 It has now warmed up to balmy -7 here (high teens on Fahrenheit scale), so you can no longer tease me with your sunny weather :-)

But what is that yellow thing? I couldn't quite make it out. Somebody in a raincoat/trench? A shark warning post?
 |  |

I was so busy looking at the beautiful blue sky I forgot to check my time. Just reminds me of my walk on the beach this evening after work, although our sand is very white.
 |  |

I think it's one of Ian's photos.
 |  |

Jyrki, your guess about a warning sign seems more likely, given the absence of people on such a picturesque beach on a lovely day.

The weather is chilly here also -- around 14 degrees Fahrenheit

An easy one for a medium. Nice to think someone is warm today. We finally have sun after what seems like weeks of constant flurries.
 |  |
 |  |
Any 'Beach' without any people is not a 'Beach' even it is 'Anglesea Beach'.

Nice mAen to all.
 |  |
I think my fastest Medium score ever, 3:37. As a sea turtle guy my first thought was the yellow flag might mark a sea turtle nest. 'Chilly' in south Florida, we may only reach 60F (15.5C) today! If we do not reach that temp that would make it the coolest day of the year.
 |  |
Now thats a son on a beach. Wish I was there.
 |  |
4:23. Fast for me today, too. Nice beach!
 |  |

I love these deserted Australian beaches. The shore here in California is always so crowded, and I can't imagine too many things nicer than a LONG walk along one of these lovely beaches. Sigh.
 |  |
3:54 Impossible to tire of these beach scenes--so peaceful. A beautiful day here--clear, sunny, and lots of snow on the ground.
 |  |
Good Morning everyone. Cold but sunny in Michigan. Angelsea Beach is in Victoria.
 |  |

Ain't Google great. Anglesea Beach...Located 113 km south west of Melbourne at the northern end of the Great Ocean Road, Anglesea is an interesting mixture of an attractive seaside resort town and a piece of urban sprawl which spreads for about 5 km along the More...

good on you Dave
Maen allthe rest of you

3:30 The yellow flag is a patrol flag to identify the safest area to swim when an active lifesaving patrol is on the beach, so it must have been a cold day to account for no people bathing on a safe surfing area.
 |  |
Beautiful beach. Has me wishing for the warmer wearher. Next week South Carolina.
 |  |
7:43 and a new personal record for me on Medium. :)
 |  |

Good afternoon to all! No lifesaver flag in the stand, so it must not be safe to swim when the picture was taken.
 |  |
Maen all. I packed Anne onto her aircraft last night and she is not yet half way to London. I spent a great evening with my (adult) children and stayed overnight.
It is a photo I took early in December, it wasn't exactly cold but there were few people swimming so early in the season. The More...

It has been so hot here lately, I wish I was on that beach, swimming.
 |  |
Actually that yellow marker is an Emergency Beach Marker. They are located at points where you can access the beach - ie where there is a path down to the beach. If you need to call emergency services such as an ambulance, you can say 'I'm at Beach Marker 11B and they will know where to find you, rather than searching miles of beach for you.

4:42 Hi to all and have a nice weekend. Doesn't that sky look perfect..
Ian I hope Anne packed her wellies!! and perhaps a small light rowing boat
 |  |
I can imagine myself on that beach right now, particularly since it's been snowing practically non stop for what seems like a month.
 |  |
really hot here 32 already 38 (>100F) expected. Some nice cool water would be great but out of the sun. Thunder clouds roll in every evening but not a drop of rain on my parents house.
 |  |
3:47 maEn. Finally above zero up here!
 |  |
Life's a beach, then you marry one or die.
 |  |

andré, she's expecting snow and I'm laughing.
The party starts tonight.
 |  |
A beautiful day. Id love to go in. Around here it might look that lovely bu even ankle deep I can't stand the pain it's so cold. Lots go sail surfing(no sure what its called) but they wear full body wet suits.
