I had an Irish paternal grandmother. Born in County Cavan in 1915, emigrated to England around 1930 then to Australia in 1958. She died earlier this year just after her 92nd birthday. I have Irish on my mother's side too but much further back - they came to Australia in the 1850s. 17/May/07 2:13 PM |  |
 P.S. I am familiar with the term diaspora. 17/May/07 2:14 PM |  |
