Would love to see the Great Wall sometime. But not likely to happen.

maen all! i notice the wide spread use of parasols in the orient. around here it is quite prevalent among south americans,as well.

If you choose to walk a portion of the wall, I would suggest the "easy" side. The "hard" side is VERY steep. Learned that the hard way!

I joined the armchair travelers. Fun!

This may be as close as I ever get, also.

My hometown and the town I lived in the US both have a Chinese restaurant named "The Great Wall". I somehow guess it isn't an uncommon name for a restaurant :-)
