5:19 The Red Sand Beach is near Hana on Maui. It is one of the few red sand beaches in the world. This one is hard (even dangerous) to reach, protected by a lava wall from the heavy surf and is considered by some to be clothing optional. It's also reputed to be an overnight area for the homeless. There is a famous and more accessible black sand beach in Hana, too, which is also breathtaking.
