Is a brummie a type of wild horse? They sure look like they are running free.
 |  |
Just happened to try this at the right time to be first?
 |  |
 |  |
Brumbies??? Explain, please.
 |  |

Well Done, Nice Horses
 |  |
Those brumbies are running free. They have bred from horses that were used in the cattle industry a couple of decades ago. I usually see a mob or two each time I head out west. Check out the grey ant hill - also common in that picture.

Good morning to all! Great picture! Is that another one of yours Fi?
 |  |
Brumbies are (wild) horses that are free and breed without humans deciding who will sire the foals etc. Though the notion of horses running free is appealing, over generations some become big headed (literally) and thin withered - not so appealing to the human eye.
 |  |
sorry - also common in that AREA - 'tis late and it's time for bed-

4:09 Hi to all.

Wild horses couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn't drag me away...

I'm heading out that way again on Monday.

I like thoroughbreds that run loose on the lead ... free and easy... and allow me to cash a ticket or two.

Dulcet tones Greg!

Good maen ... had some horses in my front yard yesterday ... broke out from my neighbor's place
 |  |
4:29 A horse is a horse, of course, of course; but no one can talk to a horse, of course--that is, of course, unless the horse's name is Mr. Ed! (childhood memory ... amazing what my brain is cluttered with!)
 |  |
3:53 as usual
 |  |
Cathy - what is sad is I had to mentally finish the song for you and knew all of the words.

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you endorse
Your always on a steady course
Talk to Mr. Ed. (Hello Wilber)

Good mAen!

Wilbur Post asked me to send you the end, and this shows my age as well.....

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one’ll talk ‘til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?
Well listen to this: 'I'm Mister Ed.'
 |  |
 |  |
 |  |
People yakity-yak a streak
and waste the time of day
but Mr. Ed will never speak
unless he has something to say

5:49. Good mAen, all. Nice pic!

The Koran
'When God created the horse, he said to the magnificent creature: I have made thee as no other. All the treasures of the earth shall lie between thy eyes. Thou shalt cast thy enemies between thy hooves, but thou shalt carry my friends upon they back. Thy saddle shall be the seat of More...

2.45 think that might be the quickest medium I have ever done
great photo Fi
have a good day/night one and all

Ha ha, she's lying - a brumby is, of course, a special kind of cat they have in Australia. And the sinister grey hooded being is an Australian baby.

Why else would their pictures be on here? ;-)
 |  |
Fi, thanks for the info on the ant hill. I was wondering what that was.

We have wild horse not far from us in MD/VA. Chincotigue Island (and Assatigue Island). They have a round up every year and sell off horses/ponies to interested buyers.

Did you hear about the overweight man who took up horse riding as exercise?

The horse lost 15 pounds in a week!
 |  |
Have just been enjoying all your comments and having a chuckle - til I got to Jenny's - when I laughed out loud also your comments re the overweight man Greg. Thanks.

I can't hang around today. I'm heading bush tomorrow and get back on my birthday Thursday. We're having a party on Friday More...
