The humor must derive from this referring to a keypad that opens the door that the working keypad is on the other side of. So funny.

Why do you need a keypad to stop people opening the door if you have to open the door to access it? One of life's little mysteries. I suppose it made sense to someone.

Priceless. This makes me think of the time I used a drive-through ATM at a bank and noticed that the instructions were printed and also in Braille. What are they thinking?

No GH it wasn't a jail (or our home for that matter) it was a gate onto the tarmac at an aviation museum.
I saw something similar just today, a form I have to complete has a question "Do you need an interpreter", but it is written in English!
