Lovely cloud formations, Ian.

You've done it again, Ian--great job!

Yup. These have the artificial look on them. Can't say that I have ever seen anything like quite this. Where I live we see contrails as single lines at a very high altitude. In this pic it looks like they are all over the place: different altitudes, different directions. Apparently the air traffic density is higher near Darmstadt :-)

Jyrki... those are not contrails, just high Cirrus clouds. They are so streaky that I understand the confusion.
It is a lovely photo. I LOVE all the shades of blue and indigo.
